Below Deckhas had its fair share of yachties through the years, but after the charter season comes to an endsome find themselves behaving more cringe on Instagram than others.Below Deckhas been one of the longest-running franchises on Bravo, with several shows and spin-offs carrying it through from year to year. While there are some who enjoythe original antics ofBelow Deck, others likeBelow Deck Mediterraneanfor a European flair, while others enjoy the Aussie nature ofBelow Deck Down Under.Regardless of the series, theBelow Deckfranchise has something for everyone.
WithBelow Decktypically airing four different seriesthroughout the year, sometimes more depending on how many spin-offs are on, there’s a ton of crew members who work on the show. As the superyacht crews typically host around 10 crew members for each charter season, there are also replacement crew who sometimes come into play, introducing audiences to tons of yachties. Although many yachties wind up onBelow Deckshows, viewers don’t always keep up with everyone on the show after the season comes to an end, as some yachties are more memorable than others.

Throughoutthe run of theBelow Deckfranchise, there have been some yachties who have made a major mark on viewers. Unforgettable faces like Chief Stew Kate Chastain, Chef Ben Robinson, Captain Lee Rosbach, and Bosun Malia White have made the franchise undeniably charming, funny, and dramatic, andit’s not surprising to see viewers want to keep up with them after their exits from the show. Others, however, are more memorable for cringe reasons, especially after their time onBelow Deckends. As exciting as the fun cast members are, the cringey crew are sometimes more interesting to follow.
Some yachties take their leave fromBelow Deckin order to pursue other opportunities on different superyachts, or different relationships that could take them away from the yachting industry overall. Other yachties wind up leaving the show more disgracefully, potentially being fired by one of theBelow DeckCaptains, or leaving of their own accord after trying their best and underperforming. However the yachties end up leaving the show, it’s nice that many of them have social media presences that allow viewers to see where they end up after growing attached on screen.

Though some of the yachties who have left the franchise are sorely missed, many have found themselves still involved in the franchise by watching the show or interacting with viewers. Withthe majority ofBelow Deckyachtiesdoing their best to stay connected, seeing them on social media is never surprising. Sadly, some of the yachties’presence on social media are cringey in ways that don’t inspireBelow Deckviewers to keep upwith their lives.
10Luke Jones
Below Deck Down Under
AlthoughBelow Deck Down Underhas some of the most likable cast members in the franchise,Luke Jones didn’t find himself part of that groupafter his time on the series. Luke, who joined the crew inBelow Deck Down Underseason 2 as the Bosun, wasn’t always part of the group throughout his time on Northern Sun. As the leader of the exterior team, Luke did interact with the rest of the crew, but he had to maintain professionalism during the season.
20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
AfterLuke was fired fromBelow Deck Down Underseason 2 for sexually harassing Stew Margot Sisson while she tried to sleep after a night out, things got strange on his Instagram. Luke, whomostBelow Deckviewers likely wouldn’t want to follow in the first place, spends most of his time online shirtless, promoting his retreat business. While Luke did deeply uncomfortable things onBelow Deck Down Under, his posts on social media bolster the unfortunate type of person he is.
9Ben Willoughby
Below Deck
As a Deckhand-turned-Bosun onBelow Deckseason 11,Ben Willoughby had been part of the castfrom the previous season, giving viewers the chance to get to know him better. Ben, who some weren’t fans of fromBelow Deckseason 10 because of his relationship with Deckhand/Stew Camille Lamb, was determined to focus on his career during the next charter season. Working with Captain Kerry Titerhadge for the first time,Ben was promoted from Lead Deckhand to Bosun, but left the charter feeling like he’d been scorned.
AlthoughBen’stime afterBelow Deckhas consisted of a lot of traveling along with hisBelow Deckboatmance-turned-romance Marie “Sunny” Marquis, his Instagram presence has been undeniably cringe. Ben posts occasional photo dumps of him along with his girlfriend Sunny on vacation, but the majority of his posts are showing off his photography. Withphotos of his time aboard different boats and his travels, Ben’s online presence is less personal than expected, which makes it see a little out of place.
8Camille Lamb
Camille, who worked aboard St. David duringBelow Deckseason 10 as a Deckhand/Stew, struggled with her time doing double duty on the interior and exterior teams. As a new yachtie, Camille had a lot to learn coming into the season, but felt that she’d be able to tackle anything thrown at her. Unfortunately,Camille didn’t take initiative during her time as a yachtie, and struggled to keep up with her responsibilities. After a haphazard partial season onBelow Deck,Camille was one of the most well-known yachties of the season for the worst possible reasons.
Aftergetting fired fromBelow Deckseason 10by interim Captain Sandy,Camille went on to seem like her relationship with the show was severed, but her online presence may have signaled that more than her performance. Leaving her yachtie lifestyle behind, Camille has moved on to influencing and Instagram modeling, even appearing on another reality TV series. Camille’s Instagram presence has been cringey, making it clear that she’s not someoneBelow Deckviewers are likely to keep tabs on.
7Ashley Marti
Below Deck Sailing Yacht
Below Deck Sailing Yachtseason 3 was a wild mix of personalities, especially when it came to the interior team. Working beneath Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, the Stews aboard Parsifal III struggled to stay out of First Officer Gary King’s orbit, with each of them finding themselves attracted to him at different times in the charter season. Ashley Marti, who started as a Third Stewaboard Parsifal III, was particularly attracted to Gary and did her best to pursue him, buther issues with the other Stews took precedenceduring her time aboard the sailing yacht.
Ashley had just one season aboard Parsifal III before moving on to other endeavors, but her mark was left on the series.Ashley’s Instagram content after the series was surprising for someBelow Deck Sailing Yachtviewers, but not shocking for others. Now running an OnlyFans account, Ashley has a racier Instagram presence than some otherBelow Deckalumni and makes sure she advertises herself well.
6Gary King
Although he’s one of the most polarizing people onBelow Deck Sailing Yacht,or in the franchise in general, Gary has been working in the industry for far longer than he’s been on the show.Gary’s behavior has been monitored byBelow Deckviewersfor years, especially in recent months as he’s been one of the more difficult members of the franchise family. Gary’s 2023 sexual misconduct scandal has pushedBelow Deck Sailing Yacht’s premiere back for months, and with the series returning soon, he’s been more polarizing than ever.
WhileGary is typically a sparse poster online, his Instagram content tends to be strange and somewhat impersonal.Gary’s content is often geared toward positivity or his lifestyle, but doesn’t look planned or professional in any way. His Instagram is far more about his personal interests than otherBelow Deckstars and alumni, but it comes off strangely when taking a look to see what he’s posting about online.
5Ellie Dubaich
Below Deck Mediterranean
As one of the major villains ofBelow Deck Mediterraneanseason 9,Ellie Dubiach has been called outfor her behavior on the most recent season of the spin-off series. Ellie, the Second Stew of Mustique, had a difficult attitude throughout the last charter season. Shown to have a superiority complex and struggling to taking orders from her higher-ups,Ellie had a hard time working through her difficulties with Chief Stew Aeshaas she moved through the charter season.
Ellie’s behavior aside, her Instagram presence is almost entirely unlike her presence onBelow Deck Med.Working as a model and using OnlyFans to create adult content, Ellie’s Instagram is a taste of what viewers can expect from her private page. Modeling swimsuits and even walking in Miami Swim Week wearing nothing but strategically placed tape,Ellie shared that she was used to doing more racy work, but she wasn’t able to truly explain whatBelow Deck Medviewers would see on her social media accounts.
4Malia White
Although Malia is one of the biggestBelow Decklegends, especially watching her move up from a lower ranked position to the first female Bosun onBelow Deck Mediterranean.Starting out onBelow Deck Medseason 2 as a Deckhand, Malia was quickly promoted to Lead Deckhand during the season and then continued to work on her skills as she moved through the next few years of her career. Coming back as Bosun onBelow Deck Medseason 5 and 6,Malia proved she knew how to do her job just as well as a male Bosuncould.
While Malia is a more positive figure in theBelow Deckfamily, her Instagram presence tends to rub viewers the wrong way. Malia, who hosts a podcast based around theBelow Deckfranchise, often posts in luxurious locales and with fabulous friends. Her content is aspirational, and it’s clear thatshe flaunts the things she’s able to do because of her luxe careeronline. While it’s nice to see Malia succeed,Below Deck Medviewers don’t love the tone of her sometimes cringe content.
3Jono Shillingford
Chef Jonathan Shillingford struggled through the charter season onBelow Deck Mediterraneanseason 9, creating meals that were consistently testing the charter guests’ patience. While Jono’s time aboard Mustique wasn’t easy, he did manage to make some strides toward improving his position as a superyacht chef, even though he had some incredibly difficult shifts. ChefJono nearly found himself fired more than once aboard Mustique, but he did his best to improve his craft and move back into Captain Sandy’s good graces.
WhileJono had a hard time staying afloatduringBelow Deck Mediterraneanseason 9,his Instagram content leaves a lot to be desired. Jono consistently shares aspirational content alongside cringe humor, as well as videos of him dancing on his Instagram. Recently, Jono reposted a ranking of theBelow Deck Medseason 9 cast ranked by their likability where he was at the top, which rubbed viewers the wrong way.
2Rachel Hargrove
Below Deckchef Rachel Hargrove appeared on the series for three consecutive seasons, beginning onBelow Deckseason 8. While Rachel was a fan favorite on the series, her time aboard the Bravo superyachts wasn’t as pleasant as her reception from viewers.Rachel had difficulty with the network as well as crew memberslike Chief Stew Fraser Olender, which led to her tough exit from the show. Chef Rachel was a great talent, but isn’t likely to come back toBelow Deckin the future.
WhileRachel is an enjoyable crew member, her online content can be strange and incredibly cringey. Sharing videos from her superyacht charters,Rachel often posts videos of strange jokes and uncomfortable momentsaboard her current superyacht charters. With her odd sense of humor and obvious desire to share what’s going on in her life online, Rachel can be offputting for viewers who are just looking for an update on her life.
1Ryan McKeown
AnotherBelow Deckchef, Ryan McKeown, was part of the crew onBelow Deck Down Underseason 1. WhileRyan was only aboard Thalassa for 14 episodesof the season, he made a major mark on the show with his quasi-villainous behavior. Ryan had struggles with the way he and the crew communicated, especially when it came to the galley and the guests. Ultimately,Captain Jason Chambers had to let Ryan goin order to preserve the rest of the crew’s sanity.
AfterBelow Deck Down Under,Ryanchose to share about his experience online, making it clear that he felt there was a lot of editing that went into his appearance on the series.Trying to make viewers see that he wasn’t the villain made Ryan seem like even more of a villain, his plan backfiring. Many find Ryan’s Instagram to be cringe because of his posts, and because of the connection the formerBelow Deckchef shares withLove Is Blindseason 2 villain Shake Chatterjee.
