With that level of hype, it’s already Tamura’s biggest manga sinceBeelzebub, and it’s a series manga fans would be remiss to ignore.

Why So Many Popular Mangaka Are Praising Ryuhei Tamura’s Cosmos
What Makes Cosmos Such A Great Manga
In Ryuhei Tamura’sCosmos, after getting involved in an incident with his friend who was revealed to be an alien, Kaede Mizumori is recruited into the alien insurance agency COSMOS to use his uncanny abilities to detect lies as an insurance investigator. The series has a lot of the same great artwork, action, and comedy that madeBeelzebuband other works from Tamura fun to read, and it’s to such an extent thatBleach’s Tite Kubo,Ushio and Tora’s Kazuhiro Fujita,Fullmetal Alchemist’s Hiromu Arakawa, andRanma ½’s Rumiko Takahashi have all praised and endorsedComosthroughout its run.
Everyone’s comments came packaged with four of the five published volumes at the time of writing, and while no one said the same thing, the common sentiment appears to be thatCosmosis a cool and fun story. Getting any mangaka to say something like that about a new series would be great, but everyone who’s done so is responsible for some of the biggest and most iconicshonenmanga in history, soCosmoscan easily be seen as one of the most exciting new manga in recent years, if only because of the prestige of the creators recommending it.
Will Ryuhei Tamura’s Cosmos Become The Next Big Thing?
With all the praiseCosmoshas received, that begs the question of how big a hit it will be. In Japan, the series already has over 400 thousand copies in circulation, and with it making its official English debut soon,Cosmos’ great writing and artwork, combined with the great press it’s been receiving, gives it plenty of opportunity to become a major hit within the next few years.
