A new concept trailer imagines what chaos will ensue with theSkibidi Toiletmovie. The sensationalized Internet memeoriginated with a February 2023 comedy short by Alexey Gerasimov on his YouTube channelDaFuq!?Boom! In late July of this year, it was announced that filmmakerMichael Baywould be working on a TV and movie franchise based on the phenomenon. Bay is working on the project with Adam Goodman, the president of Paramount Pictures. The projects are still in talks but reportedly include both movies and TV.
YouTube channel @SLUURPoffers a possible version of the Skibidi Toilet movie, which sees possessed toilets taking over the world. Thetrailer shows a fake news announcement “TOILETS INVADE NEW YORK CITY.“The images in this fake ad transition from standard toilets to those with the classic Skibidi Toilet talking head inside. The trailer uses doctored-up images of John Goodman, as a narrator discusses a war that has “destroyed the planet.” The trailer also imagines that the film will be directed by Zack Snyder.

What This Means For The Skibidi Toilet Movie
Zack Snyder Is Not Actually Attached
While the trailer intends to make it look like Netflix is actually developing this Skibidi Toilet movie,it is important to note that none of the details are factual. Most of the elements of the concept trailer are complete guesswork. While it would certainly entice some viewers to makeZack Snyderthe director of one of the Skibidi Toilet projects, there has been no confirmed relationship between Snyder and Skibidi Toilet. No casting information has been revealed either.

When it comes to massive blow-ups in movies, Michael Bay is king. We’re ranking the top ten explosions in his movies!
The concept trailer does have some intriguing elements of the Skibidi Toilet cinematic universe, particularly the tangible dark humor. Skibidi Toiletbegan as absurdist comedy shortsthat then morphed into the meme culture lexicon of Generation Alpha. This trailer captures the spirit of the original comedy, using iconic music tunes and tropes to tell the story of toilets who take over the world in an apocalyptic event.

Our Take On The Skibidi Toilet Concept Trailer
The Actual Movie Could Run Into Copyright Issues
In conjunction with the trailer’s intentional jokes, I find this amusing on a meta-level. One of the biggest challenges that Bay’sSkibidi Toiletmedia franchise will face is thatthe original shorts contain a plethora of assets borrowed from the hit video gameHalf-Life 2.The fact that this concept trailer is a compilation of potential copyright infringement is an ironic reminder of the legal issues the real-life Skibidi franchise will have if it comes to fruition. Hopefully, Bay can hire a solid entertainment lawyer and flush away any major barriers to the projects.
