Ditto Can Transform Into 11 Different Pokémon
This month inPokémon GO, the Pokémon thatDitto used to disguise in August 2024hasn’t changed. That means there are still 11 Pokémon that it can hide behind that you need to look out for. This includes Gen 1 favoritesOddish, Koffing, Goldeen, and Rhyhorn.The transforming Pokémon can also be found, looking likeStufful, Spinarak, Bergmite, Gothita, Solosis, Numel, and Bidoof. If you catch one of the above Pokémon, there is a chance it could then change into Ditto.
The only way you’re able to identify that you have caught a Ditto is when the Pokémon responds with the text, “Oh?”
Ditto has a lower catch rate than most of these eleven Pokémon, so if you are struggling to catch one, that increases the chance it will transform. Hence, it is a good idea touse Berries and better PokéBallsto ensure it doesn’t run away.

While Ditto’s are very rare, and there is no way to increase their individual spawn rates, you can use regular Incense or yourDaily Adventure Incense to increase the overall number of spawns in your nearby location. You can also use Lures on PokéStops to increase the number of Pokémon that will appear around that stop for a set period.
You may still have a chance to catch a Shiny Ditto, even though catching the regular pink version can be difficult on its own. This is unlike the new debuting Gala starters, likeGrookey inPokémon GO, which is currently not available as a Shiny. If you catch any of the Pokémon from the above list, has a chance of being Shiny, it also has a chance of being a Shiny Ditto when the Shiny version of a Pokémon transforms.
It is estimated thatone in 64 Dittos you find in the wild will be the Shiny Version.
While a lot of luck is required, if you see any of the above eleven Pokémon in the wild, you should attempt to catch them, and eventually, one of them will turn into the elusive Ditto inPokémon GO.
