Each Episode Of Arcane Season 2 Has Two Major Music Moments

“I Can’t Hear It Now” by Arcane & Freya Ridings

“I Can’t Hear It Now” plays early inArcaneseason 2 act 1, establishing the tone of the season. “I Can’t Hear It Now” is performed by Freya Ridings and theArcanemusical department, who are credited on nearly every song in the season. The somber song plays during the funeral of Caitlyn’s mother Cassandra during “Heavy Is The Crown.” The black and white visuals make it the first ofArcaneseason 2’s songs to take on a music video quality. This is something that it shares with other tracks in the season, as well as from season 1.

“Heavy Is The Crown” plays at the end of the episode that shares its name. The track plays in the background as Caitlyn and her strike force (including Vi) announce their plans to move into Zaun to hunt down Jinx. The song is a more triumphant track than “I Can’t Hear It Now,” although it does carry some darker elements that tease the direction of Caitlyn’s storyline.

“Sucker” By Marcus King, Arcane

“Sucker” plays early in the second episode ofArcane’s second season, “Watch It All Burn.” The song serves as the score to the chaos that has overtaken the Lanes in Zaun, with the various Chem-Barons vying for control in the aftermath ofArcaneseason 1’s ending. The song is also given a stylized music video quality, focusing on Jinx’s sense of isolation after the events of the first season.

New League Of Legends Projects After Arcane Makes The Upcoming Final Season Even More Exciting

Despite the disappointment over Arcane season 2 being the last installment, the possibility of more League of Legends shows makes it more exciting.

“Renegade (We Never Run)” By Stefflon Don, Raja Kumari, Jarina De Marco, and Arcane

“Renegade (We Never Run)” plays during one of the last scenes of “Watch It All Burn.” The upbeat track serves as the music accompaniment for Sevika and Jinx’s fight against Smeech and his gang. Notably, the song features some snippets of “Get Jinxed,” which was was featued briefly inArcaneseason 1 and accompanied the announcement of Jinx’s debut inLeague of Legends. This fusion of the songs signifies the new bond that is formed between the former rivals in light of Silco’s demise.

“Hellfire” By Arcane & Jason Aalon Of Fever 333

“Hellfire” plays during the opening sequence ofArcaneseason 2 episode 3, “Finally Got The Name Right.” The song plays in the background of Caitlyn’s invasion of Zaun alongside her strike force. The sequence is a heavily styled one, even compared to the other music video-like moments in the season. “Hellfire” also underscores the intensity of the search and the dangers that it inherently carries for the group as they venture further into the under-city.

“To Ashes And Blood” By Woodkid

“To Ashes And Blood” is performed by Woodkid and comes during the climactic moments of act 1 ofArcaneseason 2. The song plays while Jinx and Vi have their confrontation in the underground.
