InArk: Survival Ascended, one of the most annoying things can be storing and moving dinosaurs before access to Cryopods, which is why some mods give better alternatives at earlier points. Though Crypods can be unlocked at level 51, they can be expensive to make for some and tedious for others. This is why many mods focus on a cheaper and easier experience that lightens the load of one ofArk’s less important features.
Functionally, Crypods are not incredibly flawed, but they do have some detractors. This was worsened inone ofAscended’s biggest mechanic changesthat made Cryopods feel near useless. Luckily, these changes, which introduced cooldowns and range limits, will be reversed soon. However, the original problem of accessing and then using Cryopods remains, which has led the community to create better alternatives.

5Get Cryopods Early With CG Dino Storage
Created By Darcwon
This mod is a simple but notable tweak to Cryopods. It allows players to decide what level Cryopods and Cryofridges will be unlocked at and set the crafting costs for them. This is a good solution for those who do not want a more unfair version of dinosaur storage, but want to be able to access it earlier. This mod also uses the default settings for Cryopods, so it will eventually use the reversedmechanics fromEvolved.
10 Hidden Features In Ark: Survival Ascended That Will Improve Your Experience
There are so many mechanics in Ark: Survival Ascended, it’s natural that some players won’t know all of these useful hidden features and tips.
Furthermore, this mod adds some simple configurations that can be made for Cryopods. The most notable is the ability to disable Cryo Sickness and Cryopod cooldown. These are some of the most disliked settings of the Cryopods and why many tend to look for mods to circumvent. The other two configurations are for Cryopod recharge rates and experience multiplier.

At base, Cryopods are not inherently bad, just inconvenient.
Overall, this mod is the simplest way to fix Cryopods without introducing a multitude of new features. At base, Cryopods are not inherently bad, just inconvenient. These small changes smooth out any complications while putting the power of when they are usable into each individual player. However, for those who want a more expansive mod, this option falls way short of its rivals.
4Enter The Future With Dinocloud
Created By Radioactive_Revy
Dinocloud is one of the more futuristic storage mods but has a few complications that hold it back from the others.Dinocloud allows players to store their dinosaurs in a Cloud server that can be accessed at any time to pull the dinosaurs out. This is done through the Cloud Node, an item that works functionally the same as a Cryopod but connects to the server. Since creatures are saved to an online source, they can be transferred between worlds or servers if the mod is in use on the target location.
This mod has a lot going for it, namely the ability to save performance by safely storing creatures. The ease of access to acquire them is also nice, but it would not be as fast as a base Cryopod in a pinch. The mod also has numerous included features that set it apart from others. These include preventing the dinosaurs from starving, keeping all stats, gaining experience over time, and still letting saved dinosaurs produce resources.

10 Forgotten & Underused Creatures Of Ark: Survival Ascended That Are Extremely Useful
The top-tier tames of Ark: Survival Ascended are often noted, but some underrated and underused dinos should get some attention for their strengths.
However, this mod does have some issues that detract from its overall quality. The first is that it has save limits on servers, and the only way to increase this is for server owners to donate to the mod. The other glaring issue is the worst-case scenario of whether the Cloud server ever acts up or gets deleted. That would lead to many players' progress going missing, and that would not be worth the trade-off ofimproving performance inArk: Survival Ascended.

Overall, Dinocloud is a novel idea that just feels a tad unnecessary when compared to its superiors. It is still worth a try for those who want to keepArksimple, as it is not as advanced as other storage mods, but want to move past the tedious issues of Cryopods. However, its issues are large enough that better options have been more popular despite coming out after or around the same time as Dinocloud.
3Omega Dino Storage Is A Reliable Middle Ground
Created By Hexenlord
Omega Dino Storage is another Cloud storage mod, but it is only Cloud in name. This mod adds an in-game storage “server” which is where all dinosaurs will be saved. This is already a massive upgrade as it removes any fear of losing any ofArk: Survival Ascended’s coolest tamesas long as one’s world/server is safe. This mod works by using the Omega Storage Controller to move dinosaurs into or take them out of storage.
Omega Dino Storage has the same key features as Dinocloud with the addition of being able to let dinosaurs keep their inventory. This isn’t a major addition, but is a nice quality-of-life change that prevents players from having to clean up after their tames. However, this mod also has the same limitations, mainly speed. Though this can be avoided by taking the extra step to verify whatever dinosaur may be needed in a dire situation is already released.

While Omega Dino Storage may seem similar to Dinocloud, it is a safer and more advanced option.
It is also the last option that doesn’t push the boundaries of what players may be used to inArk.This mod offers a balanced but easier-to-use storage system that can appeal to single-player or multiplayer experiences.
2Catch Em All With Super Cryo Storage
Created By brunoamaraltm
Super Cryo Storage, or SCS for short, is a futuristic dino storage mod that will easily draw comparisons toPokémon. This mod adds an item called SCS Containers that can hold one tamed dinosaur each and work just like a Cryopod without needing to be charged. Unneeded Containers can be put into the SCS Terminal for safekeeping and retrieved at any moment. Lastly, the mod adds a weapon called the SCS Gun which can quickly collect tamed dinosaurs if empty Containers are available.
Though it can not pull a dinosaur from anywhere like the cloud mods, Super Cryo Storage excels in everything else. It offers all the same quality-of-life features while being relatively cheap to make. All three items are unlocked at level 51, so it is more of a middle-game mod,but it’s still cheaper and easier than Cryopods. The biggest bonus is the ability to readily throw any amount of tamed creatures at once, avoiding any situations of being unprepared.
Some other notable additions from SCS are thatthe Terminals can be configured to move dinosaur products to a set location. For example, any Dung Beetles can be given loads of feces that will then be converted while being stored in the Terminal. When the feces are converted to fertilizer, the Terminal will move it to theset crop plots.
Overall, Super Cryo Storage is one of the top options for dinosaur storage inAscended. It combines all the best storage features with the ease and cheapness of storing as many tames as one would want. It is balanced by its mid-game requirements so players can’t have too easy of a start, but it avoids the endgame issue of Cryopods.
1Pelayori’s Cryo Storage Takes Cryo Technology To Another Level
Created By Pelayori
Pelayori’s Cryo Storage is the overall perfect mod for storing dinosaurs while staying true to the way it was designed to work inArk.At base, the items and mechanics work the same as VanillaAscended, but these can be easily changed to any specific preference. This makes it easy to craft the idealArkexperience, whether that means making it harder or easier.
The Cryo Terminal is what sets the mod apart from the base game.
This mod also adds three new items in the Cryogun, Neuter Gun, and Cryo Terminal. The first two are rather self-explanatory, being able to instantly cryo a tame from range, or safely kill off an unwanted tamed dinosaur. The Cryo Terminal is what sets the mod apart from the base game. This terminal is where all dinosaurs can be safely stored, and it also offers the opportunity to safely kill any like the Neuter Gun, auto-store newborns, and edit tamed dinosaurs (to an extent).
Though this mod may not seem to be different from base Cryopods or other configuration storage mods, it does just enough to set itself apart. What it adds still feels likeArkwhile advancing what is possible from the Cryo mechanics. There is a reason it isone of the best modsand most downloaded, not just for storage, but for all ofAscended.
Overall, the best mods to look at would be Pelayori’s Cryo Storage or Super Cryo Storage. The former will be for those who want a genuineArkexperience but wish to make Cryopods more easily accessible and tuned to specific styles. Meanwhile, SCS will be the best choice for those who want a simple and extremely easy method of storing dinosaurs. Any of these five best dinosaur storage mods can work great inArk: Survival Ascended, but those two set themselves apart from the rest.
