The scarf originally belonged to Eren in his childhood, but he wrapped it around Mikasa instead. He chose to selflessly gift it to her as an act of love, proving his deep care for her even as far back as their very first encounter. Mikasa never took it off after that moment. Even following Eren’s passing at the end ofAttack on Titan,she wore it to remember him by.
Eren’s cosplayer included a crucial detail of Eren’s character: his Titan marks. Eren is a Titan shifter, meaning he can transform into one of the monstrous beings the series is known for.
