According to the tweet’s infographic,658,000 players had sex with Halsin, and 30% of them – a whopping 197,400 people – opted to do the deed with Halsin’s bear form.
The remaining 70% of players who romanced Halsin had him turn back into his wood elf form for the scene. The bear scene in question was discovered shortly afterBaldur’s Gate 3came out and went viral.BG3’s colorful cast of characters and the ability to romance them have certainly contributed to its success, and Halsin’s bear scene remains one of the most notorious in the game.

More Players Decided To Hook Up With A Mind Flayer
Baldur’s Gate 3doesn’t shy away from the fantasy trappings it inherited fromDungeons & Dragons, and that’s resulted in multiple bizarre romance scenes, including the one where Halsin remains a bear. Another one, highlighted by the same tweet, involves the Emperor, a mind flayer and thetrue identity of the Dream Guardian, who guides Tav from the beginning of the game. According to Larian Studios' data, 1.1 million players slept with the Emperor, nearly half a million more than those that chose Halsin. 37% of those players,roughly 407,000 people, opted for the Emperor’s mind flayer form over the Dream Guardian appearance.
Romancing Halsin inBaldur’s Gate 3is rather tame and straightforward, even if having Halsin remain in his bear form is questionable. Sharing a night with a mind flayer is certainly more bold, especially given the species' largely villainous role in the game.Neither Halsin nor the Emperor are the most popular romance options, however. The infographic showsShadowheart was kissed 27 million timesby players, with Astarion in a distant second with 15 million kisses.
Ultimately, the bizarre romances are all part of the fun inBaldur’s Gate 3. After Halsin’s bear scene went viral, there are likely many players that specifically sought it out in their playthrough. Similarly, the Emperor’s advances are likely popularly accepted simply for the novelty – it’s an entertaining turn to have this constant companion suddenly come onto the player character. Even then, the numbers are quite staggering; it’s astounding that nearly 200,000 people chose for Tav to have sex with a bear inBaldur’s Gate 3.
