How To Find The Loong Scales
Defeat Multiple Bosses In A Certain Way
You can get the Loong Scales in Chapter 2 to find Red Loong, but onlyafter you have beaten the King of Flowing Sands boss. This enemy in Chapter 2 blocks the way forward into many of the regions you can explore within the Chapter. Once you have opened up the way forward,go to the Valley of Despairto challenge another enemy residing in the desert wastes.
As you travel in Chapter 2, attempt to help out the NPC Xu Dog, who can help youcraft medicines inBlack Myth: Wukongto help create restorative consumables. Eventually, he can also make elixirs that help permanently boost stats.
In the Valley, you willfight the First Prince of the Flowing Sands, another boss close to the area’s Keeper Shrine. This foe fights with the First Rat Prince, who youdo not want to defeat first. As the Rat Prince helps the other boss,you need to bait them into ramming into a nearby stone wallto put a crack into it with their combined strength.
Doing this reveals a hidden passage to a cave with a chest containing the Loong Scales. You can enter this space once you defeat the bosses, but those who already beat the two Princes will have to find another way to break the wall. Where To Find Red Loong
Search Beyond A Familiar Waterfall
When you have the Loong Scales,return to the Forest of Wolves from Chapter 1by traveling through Keeper’s Shrines. You’ll want toteleport to the Outside the Forest Shrineto put yourself close to where Red Loong’s boss arena is.Head northwest from the Shrineto discover a large waterfall next to a few trees and a Buddha statue.
As you can see in the above video by YouTube creatoredepot, you canexamine the waterfall to use the Loong Scales. This causes the waterfall to explode and disappear, revealing a hidden break in the cliff behind the former cascade of water. You can travel through this crevice to enter a hidden valley with a massive tree, where Red Loong will attack you immediately after a brief cutscene.
Be careful as you enter the crevice behind the waterfall, asyou are entering the boss fight by traveling through it. Take the time to prepare for the fight before heading through the narrow passage.
How To Prepare For Red Loong
Have Something That Resists Shock
As a secret boss, Red Loong is one of the hardest fights you’ll face, so you’ll need to grow stronger before challenging this boss. Try tocraft strong armor setsandgo further into Chapter 2 or 3to gain enough strength to challenge Red Loong. Creating apowerful staff inBlack Myth: Wukongcan also help since Red Loong has a lot of health compared to most bosses in the game.
Red Loong uses lightning attacks to inflict the Shock condition, which causes you to take lots of extra damage from the rest of the boss' moves. Stay Aggressive And Stagger The Boss Often
Red Loong attacks you with a combination of claw swipes, leaping lunges, and tail swipes alongside lightning AoE moves that make everything it does deadly. This boss is incredibly fast, meaning you’ll only have a short window to dodge its many attacks. You’ll want tobuild Focus as much as you canduring the short time that Red Loong takes to recover from bigger moves.
Use heavy attacksfrom damaging stances tostagger the bossas much as you’re able to. Staggering Red Loong enough times will cause it to fall to the ground, remaining helpless and vulnerable for about ten seconds.
