Blue Lockseason two is on the way, much to the excitement of eager fans of the sports anime. TheBLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI-filmjust debuted in theaters on July 13, 2025, in the US, only further sparking excitement for the rapidly approaching second season. Now, both theofficial title of the new season and some key visuals of the cast and the all-new soccer uniformsthe players will be wearing in the new episodes have been released ahead ofBlue Lockseason 2’s October 5th release premiere.
The first poster image features Isagi Yoichi, the main character ofBlue Lock,at the forefront, racing after a soccer ball emblazoned with the familiar Blue Lock logo. Chasing him from behind are two returning players who appeared in the anime’s first season,Rin Itoshi and Sae Itoshi.

Rin is also participating in the Blue Lock experiment alongside Isagi, in an attempt to prove that he is a better player than his older brother, Sae. Sae is a world-famous soccer player, who has even played in other countries, like Spain. Thesefamiliar faces are not the only ones featuredon the poster, though.

Oliver Aiku, a brand-new character who will soon be introduced to theBlue Lockanime, is also featured on the poster. The inclusion of an unknown character alongside returning favorites hints that the second season will both elaborate on the stories of old players while introducing exciting new ones to the games as well. Also included in the set of key visuals is an image depicting season one’s Team Z players, Isagi Yoichi and Bachira Meguru, as well as Nagi Seishiro, Rin Itoshi, and Shido Ryusei,all wearing new uniforms. The garments consist of light blue shirts and navy blue shorts.
Each jersey has the player’s assigned number on the front and a few other changed accent details to indicate the difference between these uniforms and the previous ones players wore in the first season ofBlue Lock.Both of these key visuals do a fantastic job reintroducing characters who have been integral to theBlue Lockfranchise thus far and bringing in new characters to spice up the series and raise the stakes ofthe players' upcoming and most difficult soccer match yet.The new season’s title has also been introduced and it will be called"BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN."

Blue Lock is a sports-centric animated series based on the manga series of the same name. The show follows the Japan Football Association trying to recover from their poor showing in the 2018 FIFA World Cup by hiring a football genius, Ego Jinpachi.
