What The New Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Reveals
Marvel Is Still Hiding Samuel Sterns’s True Appearance In Captain America: Brave New World
Captain America: Brave New World’s new trailer offers the clearest look at Tim Blake Nelson’s Samuel Sterns, but it still hides his real appearance in the shadows. After Sterns helped Emil Blonsky transform into the Abomination inThe Incredible Hulk, the Abomination almost killed him, and one of his injuries got infected with the Hulk’s blood, causing his head to enlarge. This was a reference to Sterns' own transformation into a Gamma mutate — the Leader, who sports green skin and a large head with bulging veins.
Every Villain In Captain America 4 Explained
Marvel has confirmed several villains set to appear in Captain America: Brave New World, Sam Wilson’s theatrical debut as the new Captain America.
Surprisingly, though,Samuel Sterns' silhouette inCaptain America: Brave New World’s new trailer suggests he doesn’t have his iconic big head from the comics. However, the fact that Marvel continues to hide the Leader inCaptain America: Brave New World’s promotional material suggests that he will at least sport his green skin and some changes to his face. By this point inthe MCU’s chronological timeline, Samuel Stern must be an expert on Gamma mutations, meaning that he could change his appearance at will, similarly to She-Hulk and the Abomination.

Our Take On The New Captain America: Brave New World Trailer
Captain America: Brave New World Could Feature The MCU’s Most Intelligent Villain
The Leader’s most powerful weapon is his superhuman intelligence, so it’s no wonder thatCaptain America: Brave New Worldis teasing Samuel Sterns' role in a global conspiracy involving Gamma mutates, terrorist groups, and world governments. IfCaptain America: Brave New Worldbreaks the MCU’s norm of killing its main villains and spares the Leader’s life, Samuel Sterns could easily become one of the MCU’s most dangerous supervillains and a great candidate for the main antagonist role in upcoming projects likeYoung Avengersor aThunderbolts*sequel — not to mention a Hulk-centered movie or show.
