Daredevil’s new suit inDaredevil: Born Againneeds to go back to the workshop after his opening battle with Bullseye.Matt Murdock has worn several costumessince season 1 of Netflix’sDaredevilseries. He initially wore a simple black suit, consisting of compression shorts and cargo pants, before debuting the iconic red and horned Daredevil costume. The red suit provided much better protection but still needed some upgrades. The red suit returned inDaredevilseason 2 andThe Defenders, but Matt reverted to his old-school costume for season 3.

After Charlie Cox’sMCUdebut inSpider-Man: No Way Home, many wondered what Daredevil would look like in the MCU. He briefly worethe yellow and red suit inShe-Hulk, an homage to his Marvel Comics debut, he donned the red suit again inEcho. In Daredevil: Born Again, the series opens with a brutal battle against Bullseye, displaying Daredevil’s latest outfit for the series. While the suit has some visual upgrades, it seems like a waste as Bullseye does plenty of damage to his suit.

Daredevil’s opening fight against Bullseye is mainly in a dark, foggy environment, but there are some clear shots of Matt’s latest suit.It sports the classic maroon and black coloring and horned helmet and has some new gadgets, including a grappling hook that he uses to swing across rooftops. However, the suit does look more polished, and has a more tactical look, adding some much-needed defense.

The premiere of Daredevil: Born Again goes big, featuring an exciting collection of Easter eggs as Mayor Fisk calls out some key MCU vigilantes.

In Netflix’sDaredevil, his suit looked more rubbery and flexible. While it looked like the comics, it didn’t offer the best protection against many of New York’s most dangerous criminals. InBorn Again, his suit almost looks bulletproof and has a hard armor-like exterior. It’s unclear who made the suit, but he got it from someone experienced at making tactical gear.Still, he may need to take it back for some refinements after Bullseye caused notable damage.

Daredevil’s “MCU Armor” Upgrade Doesn’t Actually Help

The MCU wasn’t playing around inDaredevil: Born Again, as the series premiered with a shocking opening.Bullseye kills Foggy Nelsonand several others at a New York City bar, leading to a hardcore fight with Daredevil, eliciting the brutality from the Netflix series. During the fight, Bullseye hurls several knives at Daredevil, piercing his suit. While Matt wasn’t severely wounded by these piercings, it illustrates that his tactical suit isn’t helpful if it can’t stop Bullseye’s small knives.

Bullseye is a master marksman, so it’s possible that he knew exactly where to throw to pierce his suit, but that would bring up more questions about why his suit would have those weaknesses. This suit may not be the one Matt wears later in the series once he becomes Daredevil again, but he needs to make some upgrades, especially if he has another fight with Bullseye. As seen in the trailer, Matt has multiple Daredevil helmets stowed away, indicating that there may be variations of Daredevil suits throughout the series.
