Arguably the most important new quest in Season 5 ofDiablo 4is"To the Edge of the Abyss,“which is tied to unlocking the Infernal Hordes mode recently added to the game. Infernal Hordes are ways for your character to earn tons of valuable loot by defeating waves of powerful enemies. However, you cannot access this mode for item farming until you complete this seasonal mission.

Unlocking the Infernal Hordes moderequires you to pursue the seasonal questline, which involves some familiar characters for those who completedDiablo 4’s main story. Like any of the stories tied to specific seasons, youhave to beat the campaignbefore you can access seasonal content. Thankfully, you only have to do this with one character since doing so allows you to skip the story when starting a new world.

Diablo 4 Season 5 Leveling Guide

Getting all the way leveled up in a new season of Diablo 4 can be a challenge, but there are tips and tricks to make this grind easier and faster.

How To Defeat The Fell Council Leaders

Know The Patterns Of Two Separate Bosses

Infernal Hordes have the chance to throw two of five possible bosses, but"To the Edge of the Abyss"always hasyou face Geleb the Flame, Bremm the Maelstrom, and Maffer the Cruel. As you can see in the above video by YouTube creatorAkifini’s Gaming, both bosses should be around Level 55. This should give you a good idea about what level your character needs to be to stand the best chance against any foe.

The Fell Council members are fought through three different phases that take place one after the other. The first has you fighting one of the bosses, while the second has you fighting two at the same time. The final phase of the fight involves taking on a revived member of the Council one more time to finally overcome the might of the Infernal Hordes.

Another wave of hellspawn minions will appear in between the first and second phases of this boss fight, so use these enemies to farm Health Potions for later.

The order of bosses you face is shuffled, so you have to be ready to face anyone during each of the waves. Don’t forget todefeat minions who drop Health Potionsoften, so you have enough healing items to survive the onslaught of multiple bosses in a row. Some of the common attack patterns and strategies of Fell Council members include:
