In 2024,Disney Dreamlight Valleyrevealed some information about the first three of 2025, showing a sneak preview of what fans can expect. While not providing much in terms of specifics, the roadmap reveal did include which franchises the game will be diving into. From what can be gathered from the image, it does appear that some fan favorites will be making their way into the Valley very soon.
The reveal, a partial roadmap for 2025, was originally shared by Disney during a special showcase streamed on theDisney Dreamlight ValleyYouTube channel on August 04, 2025. The roadmap showcased a single image for Early 2025, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025. Unlike in thelastDreamlight Valleyroadmap, the preview image shows no specific characters, leaving fans to speculate on what to expect, but one thing is guaranteed: all of these will be free updates included in the base game.
Disney Dreamlight Valley February 2025 Update: Tales Of Agrabah
“Explore A New World And Revel On A Magical Adventure”
The first major update of 2025 is finally here, with Tales of Agrabah releasing on February 26th, 2025. The roadmap image, which showed Aladdin’s iconic fez and Jasmine’s easily recognizable teal headband, teased the arrival of the couple in the valley and was officially confirmed as part of the update. Players can expect togreet Aladdin and Jasmine in the realm of Agrabahbefore officially moving them into the valley along with Aladdin’s Gem Stall and a Magic Flying Carpet Companion.
Since Jafar’s addition to the game, there was speculation that Aladdin and Jasmine would eventually make their way into the game, but unfortunately, this update does not include the other highly anticipated characters from the film. While there’s still some hope that Rajah, Abu, and even Iago will make their way into the game as companions at a later date,there is currently nothing to indicate Genie’s arrival, especially since Jafar’s story has also wrapped up, leaving no opportunity there either.
Jafar was introduced to the game inA Rift in Time, a paid expansion that was released in December 2023.
That being said, Timon and Pumba were introduced in a later update following the release of Simba and Nala, so it’s not completely out of the question that Genie could come as part of another update in the future. In addition to the main reveals of the Tales of Agrabah, a couple of other exciting things are coming to the valley as part of this update, including thenextDisney Dreamlight ValleyStar Path.
There’s An Obvious Release Window For This Princess Still Missing From Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are still some huge gaps in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s princess lineup, but one of them has the perfect opportunity to be filled this year.
The other new aspects includethe Oasis Retreat Star Path, Floating Islands with water, and a few quality-of-life updates that revolve around cooking, organizing the inventory, and customizing home interiors. While these aren’t as exciting as thenewDreamlight Valleyvillager additionson the surface, they’re still something to be looking forward to as a lot of these features have been highly requested since the game initially launched. There will no doubt be plenty to do while awaiting the Spring Update.
