In a marketing move that fits perfectly, Moana graces a promo card for the next expansion set to the game, and is being distributed for those who purchase tickets to see her new movie,Moana 2. The movie entered theaters on July 02, 2025, over a week before theLorcanapromo cards are being included.
Thismovie theater promo card has already been availablein Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, leaving United States players feeling a bit left out in the excitement, but thankfully that wait is almost over.From December 6 to December 15, or until supplies run out, any person who purchases a ticket to seeMoana 2at a Cinemark theater in the United States will receive theDisney LorcanaTCG promo card. Only one card will be allowed per ticket, and supplies are expected to run out quickly.

This promotion is exclusively tied toCinemark theaters, and only available with tickets for the newMoana 2movie.Demand for the promo card has been highin other countries, and although it is coming a week after the movie has launched in the USA, these promo cards could still move quickly. Moana - Adventurer of Land and Sea promo card features a special silver foil treatment and has artwork inspired by theMoana 2movie, including having Moana wearing her beautiful outfit that she is seen wearing in the movie.
On the bottom of the revealed card, it is shown that thisMoana - Adventurer of Land and Sea promo card is part of the seventh set to the game, and a standard version of the card has been announced as coming in that set. Unfortunately, any other information regarding the name or release of the next set has not yet been revealed at this time. The sixth set forDisney Lorcana,Azurite Sea, was recently releasedin mid-November, 2024.

As a collectible card game that centers entirely on characters from Disney, including previousMoanacharacters and locations used in the game, it makes perfect sense that a promotional collaboration between the TCG and the movie would exist. Not only that, butreceiving a promotional card for a movie that I have seen in the theater would make that card even more specialto me, and I’m sure for many other fans as well. It could even help encourage people who have yet to tryLorcanatopick up a starter deckand see what this card can do.
Hopefully, this promotional card forMoana 2is the start of a trend for future Disney movies. Although the United States didn’t receive their cards as early as some other countries, it is encouraging to see that it has made its way here for USA players ofDisney Lorcana.
