Fortnite returned to Jonkoping, Sweden for DreamHack Winter for a $10K tournament. With names such as MrSavage, Pinq, Moneymaker, Nyhrox, and vic0 involved, the Grand Finals delivered an exciting affair as Fortnite heads toward Chapter 5. Who would ultimately earn the title of DreamHack Winter 2023 Fortnite Champion?
Here’s what went down on Sunday in Sweden for the Duo Battle Royale Finals.
MrSavage and Pinq dominate DreamHack Winter
The heavy hitters mentioned earlier made quick work of the competition. Favorites MrSavage and Pinq qualified out of Heat 1 alongside social media sensation Moneymaker and his duo partner Fnajen.
Ultimately, 50 duos across four heats secured a spot in the DreamHack Winter 2023 Fortnite Grand Finals. After six matches, MrSavage and Pinq reigned supreme, even capping the tournament off with a Victory Royale.
Their triumph did not come without resistance, as top duos PabloWingu and Bevvys and Deckzee and vic0 were not far behind. However, a consistent day from MrSavage and Pinq sealed the deal.
