If they was doing Friday Night Lights over, like the show, I would pop in for an episode. I would. Yeah, I would, I would. I think I feel that way more than I do with The Wire, because I was part of the original cast. I think the fact that I came in season 4 of FNL, I feel like if they did a reboot, I feel like, all right, I can come get in this world. I’m cool with that.

What Jordan’s Comments Mean For the Friday Night Lights Reboot

The Star Could Be Open To A Return

Jordan’s comments should be exciting for those interested in aFriday Night Lightsreboot show, and suggest that the actor is enthusiastic about revisiting the franchise at some point. Jordan being open to a return for the sports drama reboot seems likeit has a lot to do with the fact that he does not feel too attached to the original seriesin the way he did withThe Wire, where he was in the show from the start. The nostalgia element does not appear to be there when it comes toFriday Night Lights.

Friday Night Lightswill always have an important role in Jordan’s career trajectory, but his status as a prominent movie star now makes a return to the franchise unlikely.

However,it should be noted that Jordan does seem to have genuine nostalgia forFriday Night Lights, and his love of the series that helped him make his name could result in a return for the in-development reboot. Whilst it is unclear whether there will be a place in the reboot to bring back legacy characters like Vince, following the conclusion ofFriday Night Lightsseason 5, knowing that a star as big as Jordan would be open to a return means that there is a good chance the writers will find a way to bring the character back.
