Two overrun planets have now featured in Futurama season 12
InFuturamaseason 12, episode 6, “Attack of the Clothes,” a planet - that ultimately turns out to be a future Earth - is overrun with discarded clothing. Almost none of the surface can be seen due to the out-of-season garments. It’s an evocative image, but some of the shock factor is lost due to the fact that, three episodes earlier, there was a world similarly covered with old books.
