Summary

There may be a significant overhaul to two key features inGenshin Impact’s Natlan region, as seen in a new Version 5.0 leak. The update, expected to arrive in August, will introduce the Nation of Pyro to the action RPG by HoYoverse. In addition to a brand new area to explore and the continuation of the main Archon Quests as the Traveler looks for their sibling, there will also be several new characters. Furthermore, players can expect new gameplay mechanics, such as the Saurians, as well as minor changes – all should be confirmed during theGenshin Impact5.0 livestream.

According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat, which was shared in a post onReddit, both Local Legends in Natlan and the upcoming Night’s Trials will not give players a chest as a reward upon defeat. Instead, each of the special opponents is rumored to offer three Achievements, for a total of 35 Primogems. Simply defeating a Local Legend or Night’s Trial enemy in Natlan will grant an Achievement for 5 Primogems, whereas the other two (for 10 and 20 Primogems, respectively), will require certain conditions during battle, such as not getting hit inGenshin Impact.

This One Genshin Impact 5.0 Leak Will Get Me Playing Daily Again

There is a new item mentioned in a Genshin Impact 5.0 leak that shines hope on the solution to the game’s biggest farming and grinding problem.

Features Will Have New Rewards In Genshin Impact 5.0’s Natlan

Night’s Trials Are A New Type Of Challenge

As explained by HomDGCat in another post onReddit, Night’s Trials are a new type of boss-like challenge, akin to Local Legends. Different from them, however, Night’s Trials need to be activated through obsidian totems spread across Natlan. According to the leaker, there are six Night’s Trials in Version 5.0, andeach enemy has a unique combat-focused theme. The Trial of Might, for instance, will be centered around Interruption, while the Trial of Decisions will have HP-loss in the spotlight. These Night’s Trials seem to test players on their grasp of specific gameplay mechanics inGenshin Impact.

“Players may get better rewards from tough opponents.”

Being put under the same umbrella as Local Legends, they are also expected to be as tough as Local Legends, which stand out due to their massive HP pool and their damage output.Local Legends were first introduced in Fontaineand were scattered across the region as special miniboss opponents – though not on the same tier as world or weekly bosses. Local Legends are, essentially, buffed versions of standard opponents.

It is uncertain if the change to the rewards for defeating Local Legends will affect the ones already present in Fontaine or if the new Achievement-based prizes will only be applied to the new Local Legends in Natlan. Furthermore, it is uncertain if the change from chests to Achievements will actually impact Local Legends and not just Night’s Trials opponents.Currently, players get a single Achievement from defeating Local Legendsin Fontaine and Liyue, but if future releases in Natlan start giving more Primogems, players may feel more reason to take on these tough challenges.

At the moment, these leaks should be considered with caution. Information may be incorrect and subject to change, while the leak itself leaves a lot of space open for interpretation. Nevertheless, it does seem like HoYoverse is investing in tougher combat challenges and starting to push opponents to the limit recently, and that may continue with therelease of Natlan inGenshin Impact.
