Snezhnaya may expand inGenshin Impact5.1, as seen in new leaks about the future update. At the moment, HoYoverse’s action RPG is in the midst of Version 5.0, the big patch that introduced the region of Natlan and all of its related contents, including new Archon Quests, gameplay mechanics, the Saurians, and enemies. Of course, thenew Natlan characters inGenshin Impact5.0are also very significant releases, as they also bring brand-new gameplay mechanics to the battlefield. However, eyes are already shifting toward Version 5.1 as its beta tests are already occurring.
According to allegedly leaked information provided by an uncredited source, which was shared in a post onReddit,a new Snezhnaya location called Nordekalle will be mentioned at some point during the Version 5.1 content. The leak features transcribed and translated text from some NPCs talking. One mentions hiring a group to protect them while they travel to Nordekalle, while the other seemingly gives them advice on how to behave in Nordekalle – there are also mentions of a trading route, hinting that these lines may be related to Liben’s rumored return inGenshin Impact5.1.

Rumored Snezhnaya Location In Genshin Impact 5.1 Is Called Nordekalle
There Are Already Two Confirmed Locations From The Nation Of Cryo
These lines do not seem directly linked but, instead, connected while skipping some pieces of dialogue. The leaked transcriptions mention thatNordekalle is a place located at the very southern tip of Snezhnaya, which the rumored NPCs say gathers people from across Teyvat. There are also insinuations that Nordekalle is a more neutral place compared to others, as the NPC allegedly mentions they heard about a tense situation and ended up opting to head to Nordekalle, for example. Other than that, this is all that is known about Nordekalle inGenshin Impactfor now.
Liben’s rumored return has been leaked by HomDGCat, which was also shared onReddit.

This is the third major Snezhnaya location that has been mentioned in the game so far. As highlighted byGenshin Impact Fandom, one of the first Snezhnaya locations ever mentioned has been known since the game’s release in 2020. This is because it was revealed during the prologue quests in Mondstadt. The Zapolyarny Palace is the place from which the Cryo Archon, also known as the Tsaritsa, rules the nation and her Fatui faction. The second known Snezhnaya location is called Morepesok, the seaside village from where Childe’s family inGenshin Impactis.
There are not many details about these two already confirmed locations other than what has already been revealed by the game. However, the list may expand if the Version 5.1 leaks about Nordekalle in Snezhnaya are true.Currently, the game is in its final Nation of Teyvat before Snezhnaya, so it makes sense if more key points from the Nation of Cryo start being mentioned as the title moves closer to the release of the location. Surely, Snezhnaya’s release should only occur in the Summer of 2025, but teasers like the one mentioned in the Version 5.1 leak sound appropriate.
All Saurian Types In Genshin Impact 5.0, Explained
While more are inbound in future updates, Genshin Impact 5.0 introduced three new Saurian types, each with its unique set of mobility-based abilities.
As convenient as it may seem to believe the information, the Version 5.1 leak should be considered with caution. The rumors may be incorrect, subject to change, or poorly translated. The next update should be a big patch, apparently bringing back Liben and some worldly curiosities, as well as therelease of Xilonen inGenshin Impact5.1.
