Players will be able to test one ofGenshin Impact’s most anticipated characters for a short moment in Version 5.1, according to a new leak. Version 5.0, the major patch that introduced the region of Natlan to the playable map, has just recently arrived for the action RPG by HoYoverse. Players are full of activities to fulfill, from Archon Quests to limited-time events, but some eyes are already drifting toward the nextNatlan characters inGenshin Impact, such as Citlali, Chasca, and the Pyro Archon herself, Mavuika.
Now, it seems players will be able to test an anticipated character before their release in the game. According to information provided by the well-known leaker Mero, which was shared in a post tagged as “Story” onReddit,Version 5.1’s new Archon Quests will allow players to play as Mavuika. The leaker mentions that they are uncertain if players will have access to her combat abilities during this trial period or if they will simply use her to move around and experience her own point-of-view during the next story quests inGenshin Impact5.1.

Genshin Impact 5.1 Leaks Are Enough Reason For Me To Get Deep Into Imaginarium Theater
New details about a reward in Imaginarium Theater have been mentioned in Genshin Impact 5.1 leaks and they sound extremely promising to me.
Mavuika Preview May Occur In Genshin Impact 5.1
Leaks Hint At Players Being Able To Use The Pyro Archon
Mavuika’s rumored playable session in Version 5.1 does not seem too far-fetched considering how actively involved she is in the Archon Quests when compared to other Archons in previous main story missions. As such, being able to experience a portion of the campaign with Mavuika does seem like a feasible possibility. However, it is truly uncertain if she will be playable in any combat instances. For that to occur, her gameplay kit would need to be complete, down to the very final stat tweaks and adjustments inGenshin Impact.
However, Mavuika is not being released in Version 5.1. In fact, leaks indicate Mavuika will only become playable in Version 5.3and, because of this, her beta tests have likely not even occurred. If HoYoverse makes Mavuika partially playable in combat in Version 5.1 and then goes on to nerf it during beta tests for the official release later on, this could pass on the wrong impression, as the character could be stronger in the story quests than in her actual gameplay release inGenshin Impact5.3 a few months from now.

This could even be perceived as false advertising for Mavuika.
As such, if Mero’s leak is accurate,it is most likely that players will be able to control Mavuika through a narrative-only portion of the storyand move around with her instead of using her in fights. After all, her character model is ready and inserted in the game, meaning that simple actions such as moving around and conversing with NPCs would not have such an impact on the responsibility around Mavuika’s full character release in a future update.
Nevertheless, any sort of leak should always be considered with caution as the information is still highly subject to change if it is not entirely wrong to begin with. Even so, the idea of being able to play with Mavuika, arguably the most anticipated character from Natlan, before her official release in the game seems enticing, even if the preview is limited to moving her around for a story-focused quest. In the meantime, players will be able to actually play withXilonen inGenshin Impact5.1, who seems like a promising new Geo support character.
