I am becoming particularly more concerned with Mavuika’s release inGenshin Impact5.3 thanks to new leaks that have highlighted a series of nerfs the upcoming Pyro character may have just sustained during the beta tests for the patch.Version 5.3 is the next big patch for HoYoverse’s action RPG and the tests for it have already commenced– with it, many leaks about the content have started to emerge, including the gameplay kits of the rumored fournew characters inGenshin Impact5.3, which include the already confirmed Mavuika and the highly speculated Pyro Traveler, who may finally debut.
The leaks have been a great source of information on how these characters will work once they are released. The Pyro Traveler, for instance, may operate as an off-field Pyro sub-DPS who may finally put an end to Xiangling’s grasp on the role.Leaks about Mavuika, on the other hand, show that she may operate as a hybrid DPS and sub-DPS, depending on how players want her to operate in team comps. Now, even with the rumoredcorrection of Mavuika’s bugged Skill inGenshin Impact, leaks show that the playable version of the Pyro Archon may have been nerfed significantly.

Leaks Show Several Mavuika Nerfs In Genshin Impact 5.3.
One Nerf Was Allegedly Compensated For With A Buff To A Constellation
As the beta tests for Version 5.3 progress, a series of adjustments are expected. Among them, there have been reports of nerfs being applied to the Pyro Archon. According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat,Mavuika sustained several nerfs in her kit. The compilation of nerfs was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit. The first set of nerfs reduces the character’s Flamestrider Charged Attack Cyclic DMG and Flamestrider Charged Attack Final DMG inGenshin Impact. The DMG went from 217.6% to 195.5% and from 299.2% to 272%, respectively, according to another post onReddit.
Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Pyro Traveler’s Kit Shows Xiangling’s Reign As A Pyro Sub-DPS May Have Come To An End After Four Years
The Pyro Traveler could become the best new Pyro sub-DPS in Genshin Impact, based on the leaks regarding their gameplay kit in Version 5.3.
The leak provided by HomDGCat also says that the Elemental Burst’s Flamestrider Normal Attack DMG Bonus and Flamestrider Charged Attack DMG Bonus sustained some sort of change, but did not reveal how much it changed and if it was a nerf or a buff. Some other notable nerfs are shown in Mavuika’s leaked passive Talents. Her first leaked Passive Talent, which previously granted her a 35% ATK bonus for 10 seconds after a party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst now grants her a 30% ATK bonus, according to the recentGenshin Impact5.3 leak.

Mavuika’s second leaked passive Talent increases the active party member’s DMG by 0.2% for every Fighting Spirit present after she uses her Elemental Burst. Previously, this value was 0.25%. Additionally, the cap of the DMG increase, which was set at 50%, was reduced to 40%. In addition to the regular abilities, the leaker reports that there have also been some changes to Mavuika’s Constellations. Like her Elemental Burst, the leaks show there has been some change to her C2 (Constellation level 2) but does not show if it was a buff or a nerf inGenshin Impact.
Genshin Impact 5.3 Character Banner Leaks Show Concerning Absence
An ongoing absence from Genshin Impact banners has been noticed once again in Version 5.3 leaks, which may condemn an entire element to its doom.
Mavuika’s C4 allegedly suffered a buff, however, which could compensate for the many nerfs – however obtaining Mavuika’s C4 is often locked behind a premium experience. The leak says that the DMG increase from her passive Talent after using her Burst will not decay over time and that it now grants an extra 10% DMG increase. This buff is, technically, good, but the fact that it’s locked behind a premium investment that compensates for a nerf in her standard kit is extremely disappointing. Of course, this stacks with the other series of reported nerfs toMavuika inGenshin Impact5.3.

Mavuika’s Leaked Nerfs In Genshin Impact 5.3 Are Concerning
The Character’s Role As A Damage Dealer May Be Heavily Impacted
As a character who has been predicted to be a hybrid DPS and sub-DPS unit, the leaked nerfs to Mavuika’s kit are making me worried about pulling for her.I’ve been saving my Primogems for Mavuika since Version 5.0 with the prospect of a powerful Pyro unit, but if she fails to live up to her potential as a damage dealer, I would’ve skipped great playable unitslike Xilonen andChasca inGenshin Impactfor no reason whatsoever. Based on the leaks so far, Mavuika has an incredible set of animations and her versatility should arrive in the final release.
Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks Show Mavuika Already Needs A Major Design Overhaul
New leaks about Mavuika in Genshin Impact 5.3 have emerged and they point to yet another fix the Pyro Archon needs before she is released.
However, a good-looking set of animations is not enough for me to invest my resources. Mavuika’s leaked nerfs are not minor – there have been major cuts to the character’s damage potential if the leaks are accurate, and that is precisely what is making me angsty about how she will be once she’s finally released in Version 5.3. The damage from her on-field Elemental Skill effects has been significantly cut, which alreadymakes me feel like I’ll be forced to use her as a sub-DPS inGenshin Impactrather than a main DPS.

I desired to truly be able to use Mavuika as a hybrid unit, with her role adapting depending on the challenge.
Furthermore, one of the stronger aspects of her kit, the passive that grants her an ATK buff has also been cut down, which also makes her feel less effective in combat in her sub-DPS role. The same can be said about her second passive Talent, which also enhances her role as a sub-DPS, but with the leaked nerf, she feels even weaker. The worst is that the second passive Talent’s potential is locked behind her C4, according to the leak, something that is simply unobtainable for me, as I don’t invest money inGenshin Impact.

I’m Unsure About Pulling For Mavuika In Genshin Impact 5.3
After So Much Expectation, She May Not Be As Good As I Thought
As excited as I am for Mavuika to become a playable character after waiting so long and seeing her leaked gameplay kit, I’m now a bit troubled at the idea of wasting my Primogems and pulls on a character that’s being heavily nerfed. The initial leaks did not indicate Mavuika was overpowered, which is why I don’t understand so many intense nerfs to her kit. Of course, this could change over time leading up to the character’s release as the patch’s beta tests are still occurring. Meanwhile,Lan Yan was buffed inGenshin Impact5.3, according to leaks.
Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Mavuika’s Signature Weapon May Be The Best Claymore Yet
The 5-star weapon that belongs to Mavuika in Genshin Impact 5.3 has leaked and it may be the very best claymore for damage dealers in the game.
It’s useless to get too invested in Mavuika at this point because her final version may be completely different than that reported by the leaks. As such, any player eagerly expecting her will just have to wait for the release of Version 5.3 and test her in the character trial to see if she’s worth the pull. Additionally, aleaked update to banners in Version 5.3indicates that players will have more time to decide whether they pull for Mavuika inGenshin Impactor not.
