The soundtrack for the finale of the rumored World Quest inGenshin Impact5.5 has leaked and it may carry an ominous secret message that may be indicative of what will occur upon the conclusion of the story arc. The action RPG is still a few weeks away from receiving the contents of Version 5.5 as it is currently in the midst of Version 5.4. However, the Version 5.5 beta tests have been continuously revealing information about the next patch. This includes details aboutVaresa’s gameplay kit inGenshin Impact5.5, as well as the materials she uses.

There have also been leaks about Iansan, a rumored 4-star unit that will be released in the next patch. While the majority of the leaks are centered around the new playable characters, there should be more content to explore in Version 5.5 based on the leaks. So far,the rumors have mentioned a new map area to the west of the People of the Springs tribe, as well as a uniquevolcanic feature inGenshin Impact5.5that could pose a larger risk to players who are adventuring through the rumored upcoming map region.

The OST Allegedly Plays At The End Of The New Missions

In addition to what has been leaked so far, the most recent leaks have shown more details about a potential soundtrack applied to a pivotal moment in the future content. According to a video shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit, which is called Lil Buddy World Quest Finale OST Finalized (A Distant Farewell Motif), this soundtrack will be played at the conclusion of theWorld Quest inGenshin Impact5.5.The leaked OST carries a somber rhythm, which matches the song’s alleged title in the game.

Every Genshin Impact 5.5 Character Confirmed & Leaked (Phase 1 & Phase 2 Banners)

The character banner structure for Genshin Impact 5.5 has leaked, showcasing not only a focus on Plunging Attacks but an anticipated rerun.

As has been mentioned in comments in the Reddit post, this seems like an OST dedicated to a farewell, possibly to the Traveler’s “little buddy.”So far, the World Quests in Natlan have seen the Traveler and Paimon accompanied by their Saurian companion, and there is reason to believe that the Version 5.5 World Quests may be a farewell to them – especially with the leaked soundtrack’s title and its melancholic theme, a departure fromGenshin Impact’s more energetic and vibrant musical themes so far.

Leaked OST Could Hint At Ominous Events In Genshin Impact 5.5’s World Quest

The Soundtrack’s Rumored Title Could Be Indicative Of Certain Story Events

If the leak proves to be true, it could be an ominous hint that the Traveler will have to say goodbye to their Saurian companion – at least during the World Quests they have accompanied the protagonist on so far. This does not necessarily mean that the creature will be killed off, but they could leave for any number of reasons based on what occurs during the rumored World Quests. While a lot of the comments speculate on the farewell to the Saurian companion, there are other possibilities:Waxaklahun Ubah Kan inGenshin Impact.

An ongoing fan theory about the sky’s veracity in Genshin Impact may gain more material for speculation with the World Quests in Version 5.5.

The Sage of the Stolen Flame is an important figure in Natlan’s history, but a render of their character model – their shadow, to be more specific – indicates that they will appear in some form during the rumored World Quests. As such, players may witness their journey and, possibly, their end during the quests, and the leaked soundtrack may be the theme of their definitive departure. Because the OST’s title is allegedly A Distant Farewell, this could very well be the character to which the leaked musical theme inGenshin Impact5.5 refers.

Genshin Impact Will Likely Still Explore Natlan After Version 5.5

Mare Jivari May Still Be Added In The Future

Of course, this could be a way of making players say goodbye to the larger story quests set in Natlan, too.The main story arc, represented by the Archon Quests in Natlan, has come to a conclusion with Version 5.3 and all other main areas in Natlan have already been explored. This is likely the last large piece of content in the Nation of Pyro for a while – but players are expected to return to Natlan in the future with the implementation ofMare Jivari inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact May Have Just Extended Its Roadmap By A Full Year

A new destination on the Traveler’s journey may have just extended the roadmap for Genshin Impact by a full year, effectively postponing Snezhnaya.

Even though the most important story arcs are allegedly wrapping up with Version 5.5, Mare Jivari is an important place in Natlan that HoYoverse may visit with future updates – especially with the rumors that we are not yet going to Snezhnaya and, instead, spending the upcoming year exploring Teyvat areas that have been mentioned by name, such as Mount Esus and Dornman Port. Mare Jivari could be among the developer’s plans forGenshin Impact’s next year, so we may not bid farewell to Natlan permanently, but, instead, a character.
