Today, Steamforged announced it was developing a new board game based onHelldivers 2. According to the official announcement, the game will feature 1–4 players working together to “complete high-risk missions, navigate hostile battlefields, call in reinforcements, and overcome enemy swarms.“The new board game adapts several features from the game, includingStrategems and a host of weaponry and coordinated tactics to choose from while tackling different missions. A crowdfunding campaign for the game will launch next month, with fulfillment to follow.

If Steamforged Can Control The Add-Ons, This Should Be A Great Game
I’m a fan of many Steamforged games,although the company tends to go overboard in overloading some of its games with too many expansions.TheElden Ringboard game is a particularly egregious example, and I’m worried thatHelldivers 2: The Board Gamewill get the same expansion treatment. If Steamforged offers an “all-in-one box” style experience, I thinkHelldivers 2fans will be very happy. Otherwise, they may face an expensive price tag to get the entire board game experience.
