How To Earn Abyss Stones
Defeat Bosses And Collect What They Drop
Theonly way to get Abyss Stones is from defeated Crown bossesyou can fight during a run. When your build is good enough, and you gather the right resources, you’re able to travel to special arenas in the Overgrowth to challenge bosses. The toughest enemies or bosses in the game, also known asCrowns inHyper Light Breaker, are the only enemies in the game who drop Abyss Stones when you beat them.
There are only two Crowns in the game as of this time of writing - Dro and Exus. Crowns do not include the roaming Elite enemies who start hunting you once the Danger Meter is half full during your explorations.

Crownscan be challenged when you collect enough Prisms, another important resource you gather while in the Overgrowth. Prisms are marked on your map with a yellow diamond symbol and are usually held by Elite enemies in various biomes. By taking down these enemies, you can earn enough Prisms to challenge a Crown boss in an attempt to defeat one.
Once you open a Crown Gate on the Overgrowth map, the Crown you take on is randomly selected before you start the boss fight. There are multiple variations to Dro andExus inHyper Light Breaker, but only in how their arenas are presented. Both Crowns, as of this time of writing, always have the same attacks and patterns, so you canlearn how to beat them easily to earn as many Abyss Stones as possible.

Mastering either Crown boss fight will let you earn Abyss Stones on nearly every run. This can only work if your build is strong, so continue experimenting and extracting if you need to mix and match different gear with your character’s traits within a Cycle. Once you get Abyss Stones inHyper Light Breaker, you’ll have more ways to refine a build or have the chance to start over with a brand-new character unlocked.
