Summary

I am utterly convinced that the new leaks about Moze’s true identity revelation inHonkai: Star Rail2.5 are hinting at a much larger consequence, which may even be beneficial to us, players. At the moment, the popular turn-based RPG by developer HoYoverse is in the middle of Version 2.4, a patch that distanced itself from the Penacony storyline and moved back the Xianzhou Luofu for a brand-new story arc revolving around the Wardance festival and Hoolay, a notorious prisoner kept in the Shackling Prison – who is expected to become aboss inHonkai: Star Rail2.5.

This article may contain major spoilers about the current plot of the game and future events.

While Version 2.5 is still a few weeks away, some details are already confirmed. Three characters, who have already been presented as NPCs in the current patch, will become playable. Moze will be an upcoming 4-star unit, while Feixiao and Lingsha will be the next 5-star characters. Their leaked gameplay kits will be confirmed during the upcoming Version 2.5 livestream, though players can already farmFeixiao’s materials inHonkai: Star Rail. Aside from the playable aspect, there has also been a major story leak, which may point toward a plot twist and, possibly, even a future 5-star character release.

Tingyun’s New Form In Honkai: Star Rail Really Worries Me

Leaks about Honkai: Star Rail’s future indicate that Tingyun will make a meaningful comeback - but there are problems with these rumors.

Moze’s True Identity May Be Revealed In Honkai: Star Rail 2.5

Rumors Indicate The 4-Star Character Is Simply A Disguise

According to a new piece of information provided by Team Mew leakers, which was then shared in a post tagged as “Very Questionable” onReddit,Moze’s true identity may be revealed at the end of the story missions in Version 2.5. The leak says that Moze reveals his true form, even if the full body model is not shown to players. Furthermore, the leak says that Feixiao is aware of his true form. As seen in the leak, Moze is but a disguise for Caelorum Venti, known to be the Vidyadhara High Elder of the Xianzhou Yaoqing ship.

InHonkai: Star Rail’s readable items, Caelorum Venti is also referred to as the successor of the Winged Dragon and the Sovereign of Storms, as registered byHonkai: Star Rail Fandom.

Moze’s True Identity May Be Indicative Of A New Character In Honkai: Star Rail

Caelorum Venti Could Be A Future 5-Star Character

If Moze truly is just a disguise for Caelorum Venti, then the character himself is so much stronger than he presents himself to be. As a High Elder, Caelorum Venti’s rank matches that of Imbibitor Lunae of the Luofu. Aside from having a meaningful reputation, High Elders also often have nearly unparalleled power. This could mean that Moze was holding back his power during story quests.A 4-star status does not match what a High Elder is capable of, and that is why I am convinced Moze’s true identity will lead to a new character inHonkai: Star Rail.

If the leak is true and Moze is Caelorum Venti, a 4-star unit to represent him would not be enough. In fact,I believe that Caelorum Venti will be released as a future 5-star character, now without the disguise of Moze. This would also mean the character would be a lot more powerful and his abilities would reflect that of a High Elder. Seeing Caelorum Venti’s status as the Sovereign of Storms, it is quite possible he will be a Wind character – and the Lightning aspect of his abilities was represented through Moze’s elemental Type inHonkai: Star Rail.

It is hard to predict Caelorum Venti’s Path. While the Xianzhou Alliance follows the Hunt, Imbibitor Lunae himself and the Arbiter-General Jing Yuan follow the Destruction and the Erudition, respectively.

Honkai: Star Rail 2.5’s New Leaked Banner Type May Not Be So Bad After All

Fresh rumors about the new leaked banner in Honkai: Star Rail hint it will be released in Version 2.5 and may not be as bad as originally predicted.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Previous Releases Show Intent To Double-Down On The Same Characters

Leaks About The Future Also Indicate Characters Will Come Back With New Paths

Previous releases in the game and leaks about HoYoverse’s plans for some older characters also give credibility to the idea that Moze may gain a new playable form in the future, following his rumored reveal as Caelorum Venti.Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae is the best example for this. Dan Heng is a simple 4-star character that players naturally obtain during the first few hours of gameplay. While he is strong in his own merit, his true identity as heir to the title of Imbibitor Lunae inHonkai: Star Railmeans he holds a lot more power than originally demonstrated.

As such, Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae, a 5-star version of the regular Dan Heng, was released. Changing his Wind DMG for Imaginary DMG and swapping his Path from Hunt to Destruction, Imbibitor Lunae is the true form of Dan Heng. While he still retains a lot of design elements that resemble the 4-star unit, this 5-star character is a lot more powerful and offers an entirely different gameplay kit, even if he is still focused on dealing damage to opponents. A similar approach to Moze’s true identity could be taken withHonkai: Star Rail’s upcoming character release calendar.

Honkai Star Rail Leaks: Sunday’s Release Could Occur Sooner Than Expected

Sunday’s playable version in Honkai: Star Rail may be arriving a lot sooner than originally expected, according to a brand-new leak about him.

Furthermore, HoYoverse has shown its intent on working new version for pre-existing characters. Recently, March 7th received her new Hunt form. March 7th (Hunt) is a damage dealer who uses Imaginary DMG and follows the Path of the Hunt, as opposed to being a shielder wielding Ice DMG and following the Path of the Preservation in her original form. This is the same character but with an entirely different kit. March 7th (Hunt), however, does retain her 4-star rarity while transitioning between the Paths she follows. Nevertheless,it does show the developer’s attention to an existing character in the game.

In addition to that, there have been leaks about future character releases in the game. There have been leaks about aPath switch system inHonkai: Star Railin the future, similar to what is available for the TraiLblazer and March 7th, but applied to several other older characters. The leak states that older characters, like Kafka, will be rereleased under a new element and new Path, and that players who already own her, will be able to swap between these different gameplay kits.Given his reputation, Caelorum Venti’s possible release does not seem like this, however.

It is more probable that Caelorum Venti, if the leak is true and if he is ever released, will follow Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae’s release scheme. Of course, the leak itself should be considered with caution, as it may be incorrect or subject to change. Nonetheless, it does make me believe we will continue to get stronger characters whose powers are nearly immeasurable, such as the Emanator of NihilityAcheron inHonkai: Star Railearlier this year.
