Our Take: The Resistance Franchise Deserves Another Entry
It’s Disappointing To Know Fans Missed Out On A Fourth Title
Resistance: Fall of Manwas released in 2006 as a launch title for the PlayStation 3. The game and its two main sequels received praise from critics and fans alike for itsunique setting for a first-person shooter, whichsaw post-WWII British and American forces join forces to take on a threat from outside our planet. All three games were fun, told a unique story, and most importantly for my husband and myself, had local co-op.
Now that we know Insomniac had an idea for a fourth game that Price loved, I’m even more disappointed that we’ll never get to see it. Maybe one day, theResistancefranchise can be revisited and revived. For now, though, Sony and Insomniac games are focusing on other projects and a futureResistancetitle is not in the cards.
