With Charlie Cox returning forDaredevil: Born Again, theMarvel Cinematic Universemay see the return of the Netflix-Marvel heroes sooner rather than later. Matt Murdock’s return tothe MCU timelineis getting closer asDaredevil: Born Againwill continue the adventures of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. However, many MCU fans are actively wondering what the chances are of the rest of the Defenders making their comeback to the franchise.
In a newEntertainment Weeklyinterview with Brad Winderbaum, who is the Head of Streaming at Marvel Studios, he was asked about the possibility of the other Marvel-Netflix heroes making their way back into the MCU franchise. Without going too much into specifics,Winderbaum teased that it is something"that we are very much exploring"ahead of theDaredevil: Born Againpremiere, sharing the following:

I can’t say much, but I’ll tell you that it’s so exciting to be able to play in that sandbox. Obviously we don’t have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book. If you can draw it, you can do it. It’s dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television. But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creativelyextremelyexciting and that we are very much exploring.
Character Returns Like Jessica Jones Are Still In The Cards
Ever sincethe Marvel-Netflix shows became canon to the MCU,the doors have been wide open for Marvel Studios to continue exploring Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, as well as the players from their respective series. Making solo shows for each of them may be trickier, at least for the rest of The Multiverse Saga’s run, as Marvel Studios is getting through the rest of Phases 5 and 6. However, it wouldn’t be shocking ifDaredevil: Born Againwill serve as a vehicle to have at least some of The Defenders members back.
Daredevil & The Defenders Complete Timeline: What Order To Watch

Given the respective relationships that Matt has with Luke, Jessica, and Danny Rand,Daredevil: Born Againwould also be the perfect project to showcase where they are today after their shows come to an end. Given how the Marvel-Netflix actors have shared that they want to come back, it sounds like, based on Winderbaum’s response, that Marvel Studios could potentially be in talks with them about coming back in some capacity. If it doesn’t happen in season 1, it’s possibleDaredevil: Born Againseason 2may be where fans get their Defenders reunion.

MCU Fans Want Some Update On The Defenders' Whereabouts
With this being the biggest update about the other Defenders members' future in the MCU,it will be exciting to see how each character is brought back and what has happened to them since viewers last saw them on Netflix. Given howtheDaredevil: Born Againstorywill explore the evolution of Matt, it wouldn’t be shocking if Luke, Jessica, and Danny have seen some significant growth, too. Hopefully, MCU fans will get a proper Defenders reunion inDaredevil: Born Againsooner rather than later.
