Warning: Spoilers for My Hero Academia: You’re Next ahead!My Hero Academia: You’re Nextchronicles the battle against a mysterious All Might impersonator who seems to wield power on the level of All Might’s, but is set on taking over Japan as its new “Symbol.” This man, who dubs himself Dark Might after a call with the real All Might, must be stopped before Japan is ruined any worse than it already is.
Dark Might appears and unleashes his Quirk, Alchemy, which has been supercharged by the Quirk of another woman he’s holding captive, Anna Scervino. The enhanced version of Alchemy is able to take most of a city and transform it into a floating fortress, which Dark Might uses to launch an attack on UA, where All Might is. Swept up in thistransforming fortress are the students of Class 1-A, and as the only ones inside the fortress, it falls to them to find out what’s going on and put a stop to Dark Might.

Dark Might Turns Monstrous As Anna Loses Control
Deku teams up with a boy named Giulio, who was once Anna’s servant and used to calm her Quirk, and is desperate to put her out of the misery that Dark Might is inflicting upon her. Giulio can no longer use his Quirk due to an injury, and has several prosthetics, including an arm, a leg, and an eye. He and Deku battle against Dark Might, who continues to use Anna’s power to enhance his own. Dark Might is able to deliver his own smashes, and evenwithstands Deku’s strongest attack, and proves to be a difficult fight even once Bakugo and Todoroki show up to offer aid.
As the pro heroes launch an attack on the fortress from the outside, Anna’s power begins to go out of control, as Giulio warned it might earlier in the film.Believing this would grant Dark Might unlimited power, Dark Might exits the fortress and is shown transforming into a monstrous new form, enhancing his power far beyond that of even a Quirk-using human. Anna’s power begins to cause thorny vines to grow around her, lifting her high up into the air and forcing Giulio to climb up in an attempt to help her regain control. Giulio is still unable to use his Quirk, however.
My Hero Academia Creator Releases His First Expansion Of The Series After Its End
Ahead of the premiere of My Hero Academia: You’re Next, Viz’s Shonen Jump has released a special one-shot leading up to the events of the movie.
Giulio ends up making contact with Anna directly, becoming subject to her Quirk instead. While risky, it becomes apparent that Anna’s Quirk is compatible with Giulio, and enhances the power of his Quirk enough that he can use it again. Giulio uses his Neutralization Quirk to silence hers, seemingly for good, and removing the source of Dark Might’s tremendous power. Dark Might’s monstrous form gives way, and he is defeated.
With Anna now effectively Quirkless, she can lead a normal life, signaling the end of her contract with Giulio. However, Anna has fallen in love with Giulio, and asks that he stay with her regardless of that, to which he agrees. Dark Might is taken into custody and will no longer pose a threat to anyone. The heroes managed to save UA, and many cameos are shown of characters like Deku and Bakugo’s mothers, rejoicing at the fortress being stopped.
