Expedition Sixteen: The Cursedadds a whole new expedition to the game that focuses on a mysterious new location. This new location is populated by strange drifting creatures who are mostly harmless but sometimes attack players and cause time to “begin to behave in non-linear ways.”
The cryptic YouTube video shows several of the new enemies that players will encounter in this strange land, which include time- and reality-altering anomalies and Lovecraftian horrors. Players will be urged forward in their travels by haunting voices that seem to be leaking in through other realities, which “will provide guidance information, strange blueprints… and mystery.” However,players will have to determine which of these voices to listen to and whether they can trust them.

Players can also unlock the “Bioluminescent Companion” a creature that seems to glow from the inside and serves as both mount and pet.

To give players a chance against the unraveling of time and space itself, player exosuits are getting an upgrade in the form of an Anomaly Suppressor. This specialized part is meant to keep players rooted in the correct reality, though it won’t be as easy as that. Reality seems to be bending and shifting all around the player, and it will be up to them to determine who to trust, where to go, and maintain their footing on stable ground within the correct reality.
