The game, developed by Sabotage Studio, was a surprise hit in 2023, captivating players with its nostalgic retro aesthetics, excellent storytelling, and compelling characters.Sea of Starsfollows the Solstice Warriors, Valere and Zale, on their adventures to gain control over ancient magic and defend the world from the nefarious Fleshmancer. Now the team is back in a DLC that pits them against a new challenge that’ll put their skills to the test.
Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmakersends the Solstice Warriors into a magical clock, to the land of Horloge.The protagonists find the world overtaken by a cursed carnival at the whims of The Puppeteer. The DLC explores a brand new, beautifully realized location designed to test the protagonists' control over their new powers. During their travels, they’ll go up against new enemies like the mischievous minions Pif and Pouf, an elephant bouncer, evil clones of their friends, and a literal train.

New Music, Characters, And Fighting Style
TheSea of StarsDLC will add tons of new content, starting with a brand-new location to explore and threats to overcome. Players will encounter new enemies and puzzles.Fans will also need to master new fighting mechanics for the lead characters, who will put aside theirSea of Starsweaponsin favor of more appropriate fighting styles. In keeping with the carnival theme, Zale will fight using his newly acquired juggling skills, while Valere will battle as an acrobat.
The DLC also introduces Artificer,a new playable character whose skills will prove useful in the strange new environment. Artificer resembles a robotic frog, with shooting and laser-wielding powers. The trailer also shows the newest companion shooting a barrage into the air, for a presumably devastating multi-enemy-attack.

Sea of Stars
Sea of Stars is the second game from Sabotage Studio, following up on their hit 2D action platformer The Messenger. Set in the distant past before the events of the Messenger, the game is a standalone adventure that follows Valere and Zale, two Children of the Solstice. These two will use their combined powers of the sun and moon to ward off a dangerous foe known as the Fleshmancer to save the world. The game plays similarly to classic RPGs such as Chrono Trigger, with an active turn-based RPG battle system and a massive story where players can recruit new heroes to join them on their quest.
