The three starters forPokémon Legends: Z-Amay have been teased by thePokémontrading card game. The latest entry in thePokémonfranchise was only announced in February, with a release window of sometime in 2025. If this discovery is true, then the starters for the upcoming game might have been accidentally revealed a lot earlier than expected.

Reddit userDrizzledDshared an image of aPokémonTCG Fun Pack that shows three Pokémon:Totodile, Turtwig, and Litten. In the past, trading cardFun Packs have displayed that generation’s starters, so it’s possible that these three Pokémon will be starters in the upcomingPokémongame.

DrizzledD found the pack in a 2024Pokémonadvent calendar that hit stores recently. The calendar contains several goodies, including some booster packs for the card game. Among these is the three-cardTemporal ForcesFun Pack, which features different art on the packaging than the usual 10-card booster packs. Since the calendar was intended to be opened later in the year, it’s not impossible that Turtwig, Totodile, and Litten will be coming to the game as starters.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A Can Finally Fix Legends: Arceus' Biggest Mistake

For all its merits, Pokémon Legends: Arceus fails in one crucial category. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is perfectly poised to fix that mistake.

Could Turtwig, Totodile, and Litten Really Be The Pokémon Z-A Starters?

Fans Are Hoping They Are

A number of previousPokémonTCG Fun Packs have featuredPokémonstarters. TheAstral Radiancepack, for instance, displayed Oshawott, Rowlet, and Cyndaquil, the starters forPokémon Legends: Arceus. Other packs have shown the starters for other games and generations.

Of course, this isn’t always the case. Several commenters on the Reddit post point out that the Fun Packs just show off some of the Pokémon featured in the TCG set, and Litten, Totodile, and Turtwig just happen to be part of theTemporal Radienceset. It’s also worth noting that other starters made it onto the cover of Fun Packs long after they had been announced and released. However, it’s still possible that delays in the game’s development and a failure somewhere down the line of communication have accidentally revealed thePokémon Z-Astarters early.
