The sitcom follows a widowed owner of a car restoration shop whose life is turned upside down when his estranged daughter moves in with her children.Season 1, episode 4, titled, “Grief,” airs on Wednesday, January 29, and the official synopsis reads: “When Riley discovers a closet filled with her late mother’s clothes, she insists Matt hasn’t processed her death and urges him to see a grief counselor. Meanwhile, Gabriel faces a crisis of confidence when he’s put in charge of the shop for a day.”
The clip opens withMatt and Rileyin what the former thinks is a joint therapy session. Rather than making a real effort, Matt pokes fun at the therapist’s young age and the fact that she’s still a student. Riley isn’t surprised at his attempt to deflect and warns that he’ll also rant about people’s lack of work ethic and sense of entitlement. Before the conversation can go much further, Riley runs out of the room to catch an Uber, causing Matt to realize he’s been duped by his daughter.
