Following the critical and commercial triumph ofSaw Xin 2023, which amassed over $125 million at the global box office, it didn’t take long forSaw XIto get the green light. The eleventh installment in the horror franchise was originally slated to release in theaters on July 15, 2025, but the date was pushed back a whole year to June 25, 2025. Our Take On Saw 11’s Release Removal
Rethinking The Future Of Jigsaw
WhileSaw XI’s removal from the release schedule raises concerns, it’s unlikely that Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are done with the horror franchise, especially afterSaw 10’s recent success. Given the behind-the-scenes disputes, the studio may take this as an opportunity to reset and possibly move forward with a new creative direction. IfSaw XIdoes return,it may not be the film originally planned. Instead, Lionsgate could pivot to new writers, a different timeline, or even a reboot.
