Since marrying polygamist patriarch,Kody Brown,Sister WivesstarRobyn Brownhas struggled to get along with some of his now adult children. When all was said and done,Kody had three wives and 18 children, and Kody never had enough time for every branch of his family tree. During a recent episode ofSister Wivesseason 19, Kody’s son,23-year-old Gabriel Brown,told his mother, 55-year-old Janelle Brown, that he felt Robyn often twisted his words. Heimplied that his other siblings agree with his assessment that Robyn is too sensitive, which is proven by the fact that she’s often in tears. Janelle was Kody’s second wife, and they had six children together. She walked away from Kody in 2022, after 29 years of marriage.
COVID Drove Them Apart
It Deepened The Divide
The Brown family was already deeply divided when the COVID-19 pandemic made things worse. The family lived in four separate homes, so quarantine divided them.Sister Wivesseason 19stars Kody and Robyn were extremely cautious, so they had a long list of rules they expected everyone to adhere to. When some of Kody’s older children couldn’t follow the rules,Kody stopped seeing them. The family was never able to bounce back from COVID.

They Bonded Early On
While Robyn has little contact with many of Kody’s older children, shemaintains a close relationship with Mykelti Brown. 28-year-old Mykelti is Kody’s daughter with his third wife, Christine Brown. Mykelti sat for an interview duringSister Wivesseason 19, in which she talked about being a teenager when Robyn joined the family.Robyn made her feel special and valuedat a time when she felt unseen. All three of Kody’s former wives have said they want their children to have good relationships with their father, but he’s not on speaking terms with many of them, and neither is Robyn.
