Fans ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2will need to accept thatInsomniac Games isn’t planning to release any more content for the popular open-world game. After the first entry in Insomniac’s take on the Web-Slinger received a trio of middling story-focused expansions, the community hoped the studio would build upon the sequel having learned from the mistakes of the past. As it turns out, that won’t be the case but there is good news for PC players who have yet to experience the game on PlayStation 5.
Posting on the officialPlayStation Blog,Insomniac Games confirmed that there won’t be any DLC forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2while also announcing thatthe game is launching on PC on June 07, 2025:

Does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Need DLC?
It Would Be Nice To Have, But It’s Not Necessary
Despite receiving glowing praise from critics, a part of theMarvel’s Spider-Man 2community felt underwhelmed by the sequel’s narrative. The game does set up severalplot threads that either lead to cliffhangersor seemingly set up an extension to the established narrative, leading many to believe that DLC was in the works. The announcement that this isn’t the case will undoubtedly anger somebut at the same time, it’s important to know that Insomniac knows what it’s doing.
Game development is often a matter of scope fluctuations, so it could be the case thatSpider-Man 2was initially meant to have DLC butthese projects were cut for whatever reason. Some of the dangling threads may beaddressed in a third gameif that is what the studio has planned. Fans will just have to wait and see what the future holds.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Flashbacks Perfectly Set The Stage For A Different Kind Of Game
Insomniac’s Spider-Man games take place years into Peter Parker’s time as a superhero, but the flashbacks show there’s plenty of room for a prequel.
Screen Rant’s Take: DLC Isn’t Necessary
The Game Is Already Fantastic
I believe thatMarvel’s Spider-Man 2suffered from a case of overhypeas many players expected the game to besignificantly bigger than what was possible. As a product, I think it’s a fantastic time filled with plenty of excellent superhero moments; The story may not have hit as hard as the original but that’s usually the nature of sequels. DLC would have been a nice treat but I don’t thinkit’s needed to “save” the experience.
