Princess Leia and Han Solo Went Their Own Ways Directly After the Second Death Star

The war didn’t end when the Emperor died, so after the small break and brief victory celebration, Princess Leia was shoved right back into the politics of war. Not only that, but she also had to deal with the reinstatement of the Republic now that the Emperor was no more. Han Solo wasn’t as good at politics as his new wife was, so he took on more action-filled tasks, likehelping Chewbacca liberate his peopleand planet from the oppression of the crumbling Empire, which didn’t allow Han and Leia to spend a lot of time together.

the sequel trilogy of films revealed that Han and Leia’s true separation happened when their son, Ben Solo, wasseduced by Supreme Leader Snokeand became the evil Kylo Ren. A Comic Adaption of the Liberation of Kashyyyk is Bound to Come Soon

Fans Need to See Han Solo & Chewbacca’s Definitive Mission

The biggest depiction of the liberation of Kashyyyk comes from Chuck Wendig’s novelAftermath: Life Debt, and in the video gameBattlefront II,where Han Solo and Chewbacca are searching for intelligence crucial to the liberation of Kashyyyk. The currentBattle of Jakkucomic series is lining up perfectly withthe events of Wendig’sAftermathseriesas well as tying together many other forms of media that take place afterReturn of the Jedi, which may mean that an adaption of the liberation of Kashyyyk could be coming very soon, showing Han’s side of this growing estrangement.

Though the liberation of Kashyyyk is not depicted in theBattle of Jakkucomic series, it definitely deserves its own comic miniseries, and with Marvel currently in the post-Return of the Jediera of storytelling, it’s possible there will be more comics besides justThe Battle of Jakku.Thankfully, though Han and Leia operate on different sides of the New Republic, there is still plenty of time for beautiful moments between theStar Warsheroes before their eventualy separation.
