Stardew ValleyCreator Is Constantly Updating The Game

Eric Barone Never Wants The Title To ‘Fizzle Out’

Barone has been working onStardew Valleyfor seven years, and the game has sold over thirty million copies. While some worry this may lead to burnout, this couldn’t be further from the case for Barone, who says he could work on the game forever. “I have so many ideas for Stardew. I feel like I could work on it for the rest of my life, and just keep improving it, adding more stuff to it, more content, fleshing out the existing content,” Barone said in his interview. He also frequently updates the game to keep things fresh.

ConcernedApe reveals that the mobile version of Stardew Valley 1.6 has a secret multiplayer mode hidden behind an iconic video game code.

“I feel like I want to keep it alive, keep it fresh, delight the fans, because it’s just fun to engage with that. It’s a rare opportunity I have that there’s so many people who love this game and will play whatever update I make,” Barone said. He also noted that while he does want to work on newer projects likeHaunted Chocolatier, he does not wantStardew Valleyto ‘fizzle out’ with fans. This decision is not without reason, as the community of digital farmers are truly one in a million.
