TheSuits LAteaser offers a glimpse at Stephen Amell’s new lawyer character in action. The NBC show is the first spinoff of the USA Network legal dramaSuitssince it broke streaming records for an acquired series when it premiered on Netflix in 2023 alongside its ongoing Peacock release. TheupcomingSuits LAstars Amell as Ted Black, a former prosecutor who now works in entertainment law in Los Angeles. The ensemble cast also includes Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg, in addition to Gabriel Macht in a recurring role as his original character Harvey Specter.

The 30-second ad does not reveal any details about the storyline of the spinoff show, but it does offer a first glimpse at the characters at its center. They are mostly shown in elliptical ways where they are either blurry or their faces are not visible as they make their way around a buzzing law office, but a brief shot showcases Black having dinner on a glamorous L.A. rooftop. Details Are Still Thin On The Ground
So far, there is still little information about what direction the spinoff will take the franchise’s story after theSuitsseries finale, which debuted in 2019 and remains the most recent episode of any series in the franchise. The fact that there is no dialogue seems to indicate that those details are still being kept under wraps for the time being. In fact,it is likely that none of the imagery depicted in the teaser will appear in the show, as it has the appearance of being heavily computer-generated, though some of it may be seen in the opening credits.

As a legal drama with a morally complicated lead, so farit seems to be following the well-trod path ofSuits, which could become a hindrance in it connecting with audiences if there is no new spark to the material. However, the teaser also seems to announce that the slick aesthetic of the original show will be returning, which is something it likely couldn’t afford to be missing.
