What Tabitha’s Childhood Nightmares Mean For Her Connection To The Town

Tabitha Was Chosen Shortly After Miranda Died

It’s still unclear who was around inFrom’s town prior to Victor’s family, but it seems as if it could reach as far back as the 1860s, given Jade has visions of a Civil War soldier there. If people have been trapped there for that long, then it seemspossible that the town’s forces call upon a new “chosen” person with each generation. There may have been a different person who was called to rescue the children from the tower before Miranda, with young Tabitha perhaps randomly becoming the next chosen one after Miranda’s death.

Victor has been trapped in the town since around the early 1980s, with Tabitha’s first nightmares about the location seemingly starting shortly after.

Tabitha’s nightmares also reiterate thatthere was nothing random about the Matthews family becoming trapped in town. What is still a mystery, however, is why the town chose to finally trap them at the exact time they did, though it likely has to do with the recentdeath of Tabitha and Jim’s son, Thomas. Furthermore, with Tabitha’s childhood nightmares being located at the abandoned camp by the lake, her visions may be able to explain the real purpose ofFrom’s wooden totems and what happened to the community who once lived there.
