This season ofThe First Descendantis almost over, but it is not too late to unlock many of the game’s boosts and its newest cosmetics. One of these cosmetics,the Bio Scan skin for the Ecive, has a function beyond showing off to other players. This Ecive skin reveals the full names for many Descendants, but it also hints at two possible new Descendants.
The Bio Scan skin is unlocked as part of the Battle Pass. This will take a bit of grinding for players who have not played much this season, as it is not unlocked until level 48. Additionally, the item is only available for players who have the premium version of the Battle Pass. Once obtained, however, theBio Scan will provide additional details about the game’s signature Descendants. Pressing the Ecive button will bring up details about the observed Descendant.

The Bio Scan May Hint At Two New Descendants
Even Ones That Have Not Been Announced Yet
Nexon has releaseda roadmap forThe First Descendant,which includes new Descendantslike therecently added Luna. However, the Bio Scan hints at potential Descendants who have not been officially announced for the game yet. One, who has also been discovered via datamining, is named Scar. Due to his similar appearance to Lepic, Scar may be one of his relatives, like Enzo.
During the game’s story, Seudo the Dreamer is shown to use Arche like the Descendants, so there is an existing precedent for a Vulgus Descendant.
The other Descendant who is shown with the Bio Scan is listed as Classified. While the visual details are covered in shadow,he does share similarities with Amon, one of Commander Karel’s top lieutenants. The likeness is not exact, but this could perhaps be a Descendant who is a Magister like Anais. During the game’s story, Seudo the Dreamer is shown to use Arche like the Descendants, so there is an existing precedent for a Vulgus Descendant.

While some of these names, like Jonathan Lepic, are relatively normal, others are potentially references or puns.
This could mean he is “Ajax of Floberg,” a similar naming convention to Geralt.
Ajax is one of the first Descendants players can choose during the game’s tutorial. Fans ofThe Witcher 3may recognize the voice actor for this character, as Ajax is voiced by Doug Cockle, the voice actor for Geralt of Rivia.Ajax’s full name, the only one that has three names rather than two, may reference this connection. His full name is Ajax Jaan Floberg. “Jaan” is not a common name in the real world, but it is close to “Van,” which means “of.” This could mean he is “Ajax of Floberg,” a similar naming convention to Geralt.
Another potential reference comes fromThe First Descendant’spremier berserker, Gley. The Bio Scan reveals her full name as Dr. Gley Elis. Fans of the medical dramaGrey’s Anatomymay notice a similarity between this name and one of the characters on the show, Dr. Ellis Grey. Bunny, one of the best DPS characters inThe First Descendant, isnamed Bunny Voltia.Considering Bunny’s skills do electric damage, this is likely a pun referencing volts, a unit used to measure the electric potential of objects like batteries.
Kyle is another character who has become highly desired for the endgame ofThe First Descendant, to the point where some players refuse to battle Gluttony if they do not have a Kyle on their team. His full name is Kyle Lorenz, which could have two explanations.
One potential explanation is that it is aFirst Descendantreference to Edward Norton Lorenz, who was a meteorologist who created the ideas that eventually led to chaos theory. Kyle is an electric Descendant, and meteorologists have to discuss thunderstorms. A simpler punny explanation is that the name sounds like “Kylo Ren,” when said quickly.
