In early 2025, the Pokémon TCG will releasePrismatic Evolutions, a new “special set” featuring Eevee and its various evolved forms. The set is highly anticipated, in part because of the popularity ofEvolving Skies. This older set also focused on Eevee-related cards and containeda “Moonbreon” secret rare cardthat is among the most expensive cards in recent years.
Today, The Pokémon Company revealed the Special Illustration Rare versions of several new Eevee-related Stellar Tera ex cards. These cards all feature either Eevee or one of its evolved forms wearing a Stellar Tera crown, with various backgrounds. Surprisingly, the one that stands out the most is the Sylveon Special Illustration card, as shown below by thePokemon RestocksX account. When revealed earlier today, one X user,ZdsPro, described the card as “the most gorgeous card [they’ve] ever seen.”

The new Pokémon TCG set Prismatic Evolutions features Eevee and all of its Eeveelutions, but which of these ex cards are actually the best?
Eevee and all eight of its evolved forms will get Stellar Tera ex Pokémon cards, which include powerful attacks that require three different types of energy to activate.Eevee ex also notably has an ability that allows it to evolve, marking the first time that a Pokémon ex card has had the ability to evolve in thePokémon TCG.

Our Take: The Hype Is Real (But Don’t Overpay)
Players Will Eventually Find Prismatic Evolutions Cards In Stores
Interest and demand forPrismatic Evolutionsis going to be very high in early 2025 and for good reason. Cards like the Sylveon Special Illustration Rare look amazing. A lot ofPokémon TCGfans are going to want these cards in their collection. My guess is that the first wave ofPrismatic Evolutionsproduct will sell out quickly, leading to bloated prices on secondary markets.
However, The Pokémon Company International has shown a willingness to print more cards to meet demand.Scarlet & Violet - 151is still getting new prints and new products over a year after release, so fans shouldn’t stress too much if they can’t findPokémon TCG:Prismatic Evolutionson shelves in January.
