I constantly heard Joan, who is from Rockville, Maryland, protest that her family is her first priority and that she needed a man that would fit into her lifestyle. However, I’ve come to discover that Chock, who is from Witchita, Kansas, does not fit that mold.
In order for Joan and Chock to carry on with their relationship, there is a lot of travel involved. It has either been Joan flying to Wichita to see Chock, Chock flying to Maryland to spend time with Joan, or the pair have met up for vacations and franchise get-togethers. The other option Joan and Chock initially set out to achieve in order to mitigate their distance, was for them to purchase a place in New York City, where they could have their own space.
However,their NYC moving plans have taken a backseat,and I now think it’s off the table completely. I noticed they were gung-ho about working with a real estate agent and locking down a place upon their first mention of the relocation idea, but I don’t see them working towards that anymore. I’m certain that something’s got to give between Joan and Chock regarding where they spend the majority of their time together. I have noticed that Kansas is winning the battle, as more evidence comes to light.
I am now believing more and more that it will be Joan who makes the sacrifice. They both have families, deep roots, and a love of their respective hometowns, but I think Chock’s Wichita home base is winning the locale priority. I saw them both being optimistic about splitting their time between their loved ones, but I don’t see it panning out as realistic, andthey need to make a decision to preserve their engagement happiness.

Next to having to choose a place to live in order to ease their relationship strain, the second clue that makes me believe Joan will move to Wichita for Chock, is that Chock has become a Wichita influencer. While Joan recently spent time in Wichita, she and Chock visited a clothing store, andChockwas something of a celebrity there. Not only did it seem like a big event to me, but I also saw that the shopping trip gave Chock a platform to promote a local business that he loves.
Andhis Wichita influencing hasn’t stopped there. Chock got a haircut, sans Joan, and made an Instagram post highlighting and praising the barber shop he visited.
Joan takes her influencer lifestyle wherever she goes, but Chock’s influencer status is more tied to Wichita.
Since Chock seems to relish his local celebrity and enjoys shining light on Kansas-based businesses, he may not want to expand his promoter lifestyle elsewhere, as I’ve noticed Joan has done. They both still have to earn a living, and if Chock is more successful in Wichita, that may pan out better.

Despite Being Away From Her Family
Joan went to Kansas to see Chock forThe Golden Bachelorettehometown dates, and she’s kept going back. She attended family gatherings with Chock and spent time enjoying the city on Chock’s arm. Based on her joyous Instagram Stories and Wichita posts with Chock, I see that Joan is comfortable in Chock’s state and city.
I think Joan may have come to terms with Wichita as an option for their permanent residence, and I feel Chock has done a good job at showing Joan the best of the location.
It’s unclear at this point how Joan feels about being away from her family so much, but I am positive that her love for Chock will make Joan jump through hoops, even if it means planting roots away from her family. Given that Joan has already traveled away from her family extensively as she said she didn’t want to do,I think her priorities are changing. I don’t see that as a bad thing, as she and Chock are finding their footing, even if it’s in a location that was unexpected for Joan.
