Today’sConnectionspuzzle is a little tricky, and it felt difficult to finish around the halfway mark. There’s an interesting trick to one of the categories, and some words that I personally would have never put together. That can always make it difficultbecause it often means you are unaware of a context in which those words can be used together. With some luck and a few tips from us, you’re able to put together the puzzle without too many snags and get your win for the day.

InThe Password Game, there are a lot of mini-puzzles that you will have to solve in order to get the final answer. The rules for each mini-puzzle are the same every day, but the exact variation that the rule wants you to follow changes. For instance, one rule is to incorporate the answer of theWordlepuzzle, and while that rule doesn’t change, the answer to that puzzle is different every single day. Solve all of the mini puzzles and put them together in order to get an uncrackable password.

Today’s Connections Category Hints

FEBRUARY 04 #604

Today’s puzzle felt doable but difficult to me, mainly because of words I didn’t know and a category that was a little harder. Figuring it out was hard, but I managed to get the right guess at the last second, pulling out the win before I lost. To help you avoid making the same mistakes, I have put together some context clues for all of you. Use these four clues to help narrow down your search:

10 Best Connections Tips, Tricks, & Strategies

Four categories with four words each sounds simple, but the daily challenge of the Connections game can prove difficult without a few tips to help.

If you need to get the categories finished and you still need something else to help guide you,the names of the categoriesare in the box below.

SAVE

STORE

This category was the most straightforward and the one I finished first. You would think that would always be the case, but it is not necessarily true. The last couple of puzzles, the yellow category has been harder than normal. However, PRESERVE and SAVE seemed quite similar, and I was able to see the remaining words. This one may not have given me much trouble, but my problems started shortly after this as I tried to figure out what the rest of the categories were.

GRIND

SAND

This one didn’t trouble me too much, as I saw SAND and FILE, but it took me awhile to see them. I sort of clicked on random words for the puzzle until I saw the connection. It was fine, and I don’t think I wasted any guesses here.GRIND is a bit different than the rest of the words, and I could see that causing issues for some players. However, the rest of the puzzle was difficult from this point on.

SPREAD

UNDER

I don’t think I would have ever put these words together under any normal circumstances. Gambling on sports is not something anyone in my family does, nor do I know anyone who does it on a regular basis. It isn’t legal where I live, which doesn’t mean that much, but it makes it much harder to be familiar with the terms. SPREAD is also a little tricky with STICKY and BUTTER as a thing that you could put on something else to eat.

LADY

STICKY

This one I was on the trail toward and it is the only reason I managed to finish the puzzle when I did. I had BUTTER, CHICKEN, and STICKY together for several guesses, but I also had SPREAD with it. I tried to figure out what the last word was, and it took a while. My final guess luckily ended up being right, and I was able to finish the puzzle while sweating a little bit about it. I’m not sure why I switched SPREAD out for LADY, but it was mostly desperation and a hunch.
