An overlooked villain fromTrackerseason 1 would be the best returning character for the show’s sophomore season. Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw, a self-proclaimed"rewardist"living on the open road and solving missing person cases, has many adversaries inTrackerseason 1. While the show’s first antagonist character, Jensen Ackles' Russell Shaw, turns out to be a good guy, most of the people Colter comes up against aren’t.

That includes Ryan Robbins' SethfromTrackerseason 1, episode 2. Seth is introduced in the series' second installment, helping to create the narrative of who Colter Shaw is and how he operates. Colter’s maneuvers in “Missoula” demonstrate how far past traditional boundaries he’s willing to go — and how much he is willing to risk for his work. The series' second episode also introduces a villain that helps to peel back the layers ofwho killed Colter’s father inTracker. This character must return in season 2 and shed more light on the situation.

Seth Can Be Key To Colter Learning More About His Father’s Death In Tracker Season 2

Seth is the missing link between what Colter believes about his father’s death and the truth. Seth’s file about Ashton Shaw includes his known professional activities and various contracts with the United States Government and the University of California Berkeley. While some information about Ashton Shaw is redacted, Seth’s intel is still better than anything Colter found about his father in over a decade. Needless to say,Robbins' character could be the key to Colter uncovering the events surrounding his father’s death.

Colter’s sister, Dorian “Dory” Shaw, took after their parents and became a college professor.

While Seth is an intense and manipulative cult leader, he does value the truth. He provides Colter with information about his own mysteries, andSeth is the most willing to talk to Colter about what happened to his father. While Colter’s mother (Wendy Crewson) and Colter’s sister (Melissa Roxburgh) repeatedly tell Colter to move on, Seth is as curious about his father’s past as he is. If he returns inTrackerseason 2, he could prove an asset to Colter’s long-term investigation.

How Tracker Season 2 Can Bring Back Seth

Colter And Reenie Can Bargain With Seth For More Intel

InTrackerseason 2, Colter can seek Seth out for more intel. At the end of “Missoula,” Colter uncovers information to convince Jackson Cheong to leave the cult, and it’s enough to put Seth and Rebecca behind bars. The Positive Light leaders' next stop after they walk out of the office in handcuffs is jail, and Reenie assures Colter that there is enough evidence to lock them up. As such,Colter knows precisely where to find Seth. And Seth would probably talk to Colter again, despite the rewardist putting him behind bars.

[Colter] must consult Seth to prove he takes the investigation as seriously as the ones he solves each week.

For instance, Seth may open up to Colter for a legal favor.Reenie could consult on the legal matter to get the information Colter needsfrom Seth, like his sources for the intel he had on Ashton Shaw.
