However, it’s worth noting that Venom doesn’t become the Eventuality, Eddie does. So, without a host,how does Carnage become the King in Crimson?How does Carnage come to possess the same control Eddie has had over the Symbiote Hive? To reach his destiny of damnation,Carnage needs a host.

In the library of the Omnipotent City, Carnage roared at the Lord Librarian, demanding to know why hehad yet to become a true god.The symbiote had overcome his natural weaknesses, he set into motion Knull’s arrival and Eddie’s ascension, and he traveled across space and time to dominate the final King in Black in Eddie’s temporal line. Before banishing Carnage back to the present, the Lord Librarian told the symbiote that he was andwould remain nothing without another half.

It has all been made clear thatCletus Kasady was never meant to take Carnageto the doors of divination, it’s been Eddie Brock this whole time. As the Venom War ends and Marvel prepares forOne World Under Doom, Carnage and Eddie still have a destiny ahead of them. The Eventuality still waits at the end of time and so too does the King in Crimson. Brock is the only human, aside from Dylan, to have seen what’s to come. He is the only host who knows what it feels like todiscard mortality and embrace eventuality.
Eddie Brock’s future is no longer with Venom, instead, it is marked by oceans of blood and endless Carnage.
