The cast largely consists of smaller names, excluding Vaughn and a couple of other actors. One of the most interesting castings comes in the form of the story’s main antagonist, whose actor was displaying the unquestionable qualities of a hero at the box office less than a month beforeBad Monkeypremiered.
Bad Monkey’s Christopher is played by Rob Delaney, who played Peter (AKA “Sugar Bear”) inDeadpool 2as well asDeadpool & Wolverine. When the newestDeadpoolmovie hit cinema screens in July 2024, viewers were treated to Peter riding in and helping during the movie’s big battle scene. His part in the fight is limited to arriving and pulling off his mask, buthe’s comically greeted as a hero by Ryan Reynold’s character.

Peter and Christopher share nothing beyond a mustache and the actor attached to it. Peter isn’t just portrayed as one of the most wholesome and forgiving beings on the planet, he also gets given very little to do in the grand scheme of things. Inversely,Delaney’sBad Monkeycharacter is a major part of the plotin the Apple TV+ show. Prominence in the story aside, there’s also the matter of Christopher killing a man almost immediately inBad Monkey’s double-episode premiere, whereas it’s impossible to imagine Peter hurting a fly.
