HBO has releasednew images that showIt: Welcome to Derry’s characters, including Mike Hanlon’s father, Will, during his time in the Air Forcealong with Pennywise’s name and face pained on the side of a cart. In the novel, Will tells his son about opening a nightclub called the Black Spot that was later burned down by a white supremacist group. Mike discovers that this crime is linked to Pennywise, with the shapeshifting entity appearing as a giant bird when the club was destroyed. The show will be strongly rooted in this story and other interludes from the novel.
