20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
It Seems Like “Promiscuous” Olivia’s Still Rebelling Against Kim
She Could Never Win Her Monster-In-Law’s Approval
In the August 20 episode, Olivia really spilled the tea, talking about her:
hoe

phase in LA. When she became single after years of marriage with Ethan, she wanted to experiment. She said she played safe but didn’t really seem to revel in her"hoe phase."
Sometimes, with Olivia, it seems like her choices are more about rebelling against the Plaths than anything else. Not that this would be hard to understand or sympathize with. Au contraire.
Kim was undoubtedly one of the worst mothers-in-law ever shown on television and that is saying a lot. She rejected her beautiful, smart and charismatic daughter-in-law from the get-go.Not once did she consider how bad it would feel to be put down by her husband’s parents.Kim’s empathy is possibly non-existent.
It’s not such a stretch to think that something’s wrong, such as narcissistic personality disorder. However, that is for a psychiatrist to decide. The thing is, narcissists are usually resistant to therapy because they believe they are perfect and awesome. Nonetheless, Kim might benefit from talking through her problems with a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Ethan Is So Depressed
His Wife Let Him Down Just Like His Mom Did
ThisWelcome to Plathvilleseason has been so grueling for Ethan. He is miserable and his depression is deeply concerning. If he had a truly selfless mother, she’d probably stay with him during this tough time just to ensure he was okay. He’s singing country songs about wishing he wasn’t on the planet.
There’s really no louder cry for help. Ethan is spelling it out.
While people mayblame Olivia for leaving him, they should point the finger elsewhere, straight at the Plath matriarch, who is getting weirder by the minute during her intense whirlwind of a midlife crisis. She’s living on a boat that can’t actually be taken anywhere - she calls it a houseboat, but it’s just a broken boat. It’s cramped, everyone needs to go onto dry land to shower…it’s not a proper home.
Her kids are trying to make the best of it, but Kim doesn’t really care about their comfort. She cares about her own happiness, including her new romance with Ken Palmer.
When it comes to Ethan and even Moriah, the red flags of depression are waving in the breeze. Those two Plath kids are traumatized by breakups. That’s probably because of their upbringing. They always had to change themselves to get love, and sometimes nothing they did was good enough. Now, they look for approval from their partners and when they don’t get it, it feels like the world is ending. That is Kim’s handiwork, and Barry’s too.
Moriah has talked about
living with depression
Ethan is clearly
extremely despondent
Welcome to Plathvilleshows the realities of too-strict rules that often go against human nature. It shows what happens when people are forced into molds that just don’t suit them. They are uncomfortable in those molds - they feel constricted, sad, and angry. Kim breaks the rules now, heedless of how she hemmed her own kids in. She set the stage for the emotional problems that they have now. She needs to take accountability.
