Tamar & Vinceended up only lasting as long as Tamar and Vince did. That is to say, the series began when they wed in 2012, and lasted five more years, ending in 2017 when the couple filed for divorce.The couple filed for divorce in October 2017 in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences (viaPeople). Braxton was seeking joint custody of Logan at the time but wanted her son to live with her. The divorce was finalized in July 2019 (viaTMZ).

Braxton Family Values star and singer, Traci Braxton, has passed away from esophageal cancer, at age 50 after battling the disease for a year.
It’s not entirely known why the couple ended up divorcing, but Braxton got her husband arrested for spousal assault and had a protection order against him for some time (viaTMZ). However,Braxton later clarified that Herbert had not touched anyonebut that the conversation had gotten verbally heated during the Christmas holiday (viaTMZ),
“There was no physical interaction between Vince and I on Christmas. While I do not appreciate his lack of respect for our family and him allegedly impregnating another woman, I cannot paint him as a vicious abuser that Vince is not.”
However, the couple are now in a good place. In a 2024 interview with Carlos King, Braxton said (viaCollider),
“Oh, that’s my cousin! Cousin Vince! And I know it sounds weird, but he’s a family member.”
Divorces are difficult for all parties, and it seems that Vince and Tamar just needed some time for things to settle down before they could start working better as friends, rather than as a couple.

Herbert Has Been Involved In Several Lawsuits
Since leavingTamar & Vince, Vincent Herbert has found himself in some hot water, legally and financially (viaBlackEnterprise). In 2023, Herbert was reportedly in debt to a Beverly Hills jeweler, Michael Greene, for $80,000. Allegedly, Herbert purchased custom diamonds in 2020 and never paid the bill. Herbert paid up front with a $20,000 check but when it bounced, Greene reached out to Herbert, who apologized and promised to pay the debt. In 2021,the jeweler filed a lawsuit for $66,000, which was raised to $80,000 two years later.
This is not the first suit Herbert has found himself in. In 2018, Herbert was sued by LDNX Records for $380,000, and when he failed to appear in court, LDNX was awarded $506,116. He was also evicted from his apartment in LA due to unpaid rent totaling $38,000. Sony Music also filed a lawsuit against Herbert for failure to pay advances, and they were awarded $4 million, which the company seized via his royalties. Vincent Herbert has had his share of headaches sinceTamar & Vince, but at least his relationship with Tamar is no longer one of them.
